I know that it's the first time I've spent it away from Hokuto-chan since we were small, but I'm not sure grandmother would approve of so many people finding out about our birthday. I had only planned on letting Kamui know, since we're twins in his world, and Serenity.

It will be nice to get to spend it with everyone though, so I guess it's alright. I wonder who all is going to be at the party though? Seishirou will be there hopefully, and probably Kakyou and Hinoto since they live there. Sorata seems like he would enjoy a party though I haven't heard from him lately. Ruca doesn't seem like he likes crowds but I really hope that he shows up too, and I'm not sure about Lilly or Mary.

I think it would have been nice if Subaru and Hokuto-chan were there too, so we could all have celebrated together. I'm sure Kamui misses him even if I'm there. But Seishirou said that she's fine, so I'm sure that she'll be alright.

Oh, well grandmother said that for those are in our profession to reveal their birthday or birth place is to make them vulnerable. That's why she encouraged Hokuto and I to keep our birthday a secret, at least from those that aren't a part of the Sumeragi family.

All of the Dragons of Heaven must die or be neutralized. But it doesn't matter to me if I never return to Earth.

I'm sorry but I don't know anything about Dragons of Heaven. But why do you feel like they have to be killed, why do you hate them that much?

Hate has nothing to do with it. It is my destiny as a Dragon of Earth. There can be no revolution while the Dragons of Heaven stand in the way. They must be neutralized.

Revolution? Are you referring to the end of the world?

[Subaru had learned a little about it, that it would supposedly begin in 1999 and that some said Tokyo had already started down the path. But he still had yet to learn about his role or the dragons of heaven and earth.]

So then you're from the same time as Sorata-san. It may be a perfect place but I think the world still has plenty of good left that can be used to change things without killing anyone.

Everyone will die eventually, Subaru Sumeragi. Why must the Earth die with them?

Everyone will die eventually true, but life continues on in the ones that they love and in children so they still live on. The world doesn't have to die just because mankind doesn't, man could change and start taking better care of the world. Even without man there's no promise that the world still wouldn't die, we can learn to live and support the world the same it supports us.

The Earth is self sustaining. It is humans that take more than the land can give. What promise is there that they will change?

There isn't one, we just have to believe and hope that it will. Or fight to change it, either way it's better than destroying everything.

You can't say that everyone deserves to die, there's no way you can know everyone and what they have done. Let alone understand how they've impacted the world, what they've contributed or taken away.

I can know the majority, and I can kill the majority. That is good enough for me. [ God what's the big deal if we kill a couple billion people? ] It is easier to eliminate the whole than to identify the few innocents.
