[He just smiles wryly.]
(What is with me and attracting teenage girls? Geez...)
You know, I think this is the first time you and I have actually had a talk. You, uh, been doing well?
(...Now I wonder if it's actually a good thing that she prefers that kid to me.)
I guess I've been doing alright. While I appreciate your concern, it's actually pretty nice to get a chance to bum around. Though I better not get too used to that, huh?
But, uh... I wouldn't mind if you're careful about where you're thinking of putting me. Really.

[Sideswipe hikes his thumb digit back toward his mun who is snickering behind the collar of her Decepticon shirt.]
no subject
Well, it's worth a try, isn't it? You never know what you can get by trying to appeal to people a bit.
no subject
[Sideswipe pokes his digits together.]
Always worth a shot. I mean, it's not as though she's gotten me killed like she did one of her other muses.
[Huge cringe. Death doesn't really appeal to him obviously.]
no subject
(Did he say "killed"? What have I gotten myself into...)
That's, ah, that's great. Hopefully I can manage the same for myself... I don't think my mun is the type to do that sort of thing.
(Probably. What would I know?)
no subject
[Edgeworth regards him with a calm expression, grey eyes intent.] I say dubious, if only due to the fact that it's highly likely you will end up in an unpleasant situation. I myself have been lucky, but another version of yourself that I've spoken with ended up in a tower full of monsters and other strange fauna.
no subject
(Finally, a friendly face! Er... Well, at least it's a familiar one.)
[While he may look excited at first, it doesn't last.] Another version of myself, huh...?
Well, if there's already a, uh, me in a place like that, that's one less dangerous place for me to go, right?
(I wonder how long I can keep deluding myself with optimism. Yikes.)
no subject
Yes, another version. Older, it seemed. That being said, I have been told by others that there are far worse places than a tower rife with monsters. Perhaps you'll get lucky. I've not gone anywhere, and quite frankly, I prefer the relative solitude.
no subject
[A slight chuckle.] Well, somehow, I don't find that very surprising. I think for now, it's looking that way for me, too.
no subject
It's possible that my mun would be willing to make arrangements with yours, if there is some semblance of interest - at least it would stave off boredom in the interim.
no subject
Looks like my mun seems pretty excited about that. I guess I'm finally gonna get some attention. [Not necessarily a good thing there, Nick.] I mean, it should be better than monster-towers and just sitting around. Right?
no subject
[Edgeworth is still smirking, and glances sideways at him.] Attention. Hm. There's no telling if that is a positive or a negative. Monster towers or not, I daresay there could be plenty of...complications arising.
\o/ ♥ edgeworth! i'll be sure to get back to you asap, unfortunately i must get to bed.
=D Phoenix! Take your time, I understand. Miles is a jerk haha.
There are certain times that I feel you'd be better off knowing all the facts before we begin - seeing you flail about is not always enjoyable.
[Edgeworth is smirking a bit, amused, but not arrogant. It's evident his words are said more out of a dry, friendly teasing than any malice.]
school tagging, oops. but he's such a lovely jerk!
People are like that, Edgeworth; they tend to be chock full of surprises. But I think I can take it.
Thanks for your consideration. But you did just say that you don't know something that I don't, so you're not really telling me anything, are you?
[He returns that smirk with one of his own.]
(Edgeworth, Edgeworth, Edgeworth. It might have been a while, but you and I will always be on equal ground, no matter which way you put it.)
SCHOOL TAGGING yes indeed.
I suppose that it's something that we'll have to discover on our own - and together, it would seem. [Edgeworth pauses, tapping his fingers on his arm lightly in thought.]
Not the first time, I suppose.
yesss so I don't have a lot of time to get down to business, ahah.. ha...
Together, huh?
(Team EdgeWright, back in action! ...I'll need to think of a better name later.)
Yeah. Come on, we make a pretty good team, don't we?
I just got back from class yay!
[Edgeworth was not about to ascribe a name to their little 'duo', however Wright might wish to.]
Woo! I'm still out but I'll be home in over an hour, gosh finally.
(Uptight to my laid back, fancy to my casual, red to my blue... But at least he's not making fun of me yet.)
Though you're right, and I don't know if a common goal is really something that'll come up in whatever it is we do. Can always hope, though.
I have rehearsal soon but I will be on mobile AIM during that time!
I suppose we will know with a little effort. I look forward to it.
Alright! I'll keep on the look out for you o7
(...Right?)

No, Maya. I'm not doing anything of the sort. Have you been hanging around Pearly too much, or were you just dying to use that pun?
no subject
Oh, really? Cause it sounds to me like you're fishing for a game!
What's Pearly got to do with it? That's what they are! ... Or well, mine is, anyway.
no subject
It's because you used the word "woo"? I just... [He rubs the back of his neck.] Never mind. So you've got a lot to deal with, huh?
no subject
Ha ha. You better count your lucky stars she's not here! [As for the rest, well:] I guess you could say that. [....]But it's nothing I can't handle!
no subject
I'd rather be boring than stuck in any dangerous places, thanks very much.
[A small smile.] Of course. I hope you're not by yourself anywhere, though.
no subject
Ha ha. Are you worried about me, Nick?
no subject
I don't see anything funny about being concerned. Besides, knowing you... I think I'm alowed to be at least a little worried.
no subject
[And somebody's skirting around the subject...] Hey! What is that supposed to mean?
no subject
[A wry smile.] Come on, you know as well as I do that you're prone to getting into trouble.
no subject
It's not like I look for it! [Huff!] Well I'll have you know I haven't been accused of murder once!
.../slides in here
/shifty glances?
I hope I'm not to late to jump in - why is the suspense theme playing on iTunes now
No such thing as too late, my dear. And obviously it's great background music for our showdown.
I think that she agrees... As far as I know, she doesn't have any serious plans for me, so I think I'll get that break.
What about you, how're you holding up?
If it's a showdown you want, it's a showdown you'll get.
I am currently in a city in the middle of a war, and my weapons are a man who can transform into a flaming broadsword, amplified persuasive speaking, and...my soul.
I have been in it for nearly three years by our time. Only about nine months have passed in the city itself.
Just watch the hair, I don't need any of your flying fingers in the hair.
(But how the hell am I supposed to respond to that?)
Well... You're still alive and kicking, right? [A sheepish smile.] Ah... I don't know what to say to that, Edgeworth. I'm sure you're past any sort of condolences.
I should be telling YOU to watch where you point those fingers.
Only because character deaths are not permitted.
...And I've long since learned how to fight properly. [Which means he could flip you over in a martial arts throw, Phoenix. Watch out.]
He likes to stretch his arm, what can he say.
...So does that mean that you might have died, but it wasn't permanent?
(Just what has he gotten himself into... I know you're capable, Edgeworth, but we're lawyers, not warriors.)
Good. I'm glad to hear that. I guess you've had a lot of time to adjust by now then, huh?
I'm sure he can stretch it without bursting anyone's personal bubble.
[He nods at that second statement.]
You don't expect me to go about my regular life in such a dangerous city as if the war didn't exist, do you, Wright?
You never know, the guy's got some interesting intimidation tactics...
Of course not. But you never struck me as the fighting type, you know? Maybe more like... a tactician, if anything.
Unfortunately, we can't argue with that.
I'm glad we're on the same page.
I don't doubt that you'd be great to have as an ally, Edgeworth.
(Your relentlessness probably works to your advantage on the battlefield.)
Well, these two are sometimes also on the same page.
[His hands were dirty, sure, but at least they were only dirty with the blood of supernatural creatures.]
