 Mundane, I don't understand why writing an application for that hero has made you reconsider your plans for me. We both know where I'm going to end up eventually, but there's no rush to do it now.

Not that I mind. It'll be nice to see Sheba again, and finally meet Matthew and Karis.

That place sounds worse everytime I hear about it. There's nothing wrong with your views-- they're actually helpful.

It just makes it more important that I go there. Friends shouldn't have to fight friends. [Especially if the friends were all that they had.]

I keep thinking, "It can't get worse." And then they keep proving me wrong. I'd laugh, but... [She shrugs.] I guess it's really not that funny.

I'm looking forward to seeing you again. I just... [She frowns. This is something that's been weighing on her heavily lately.] The Administrators are cruel and in some ways our muns are even crueler. I wouldn't put it past them to try and make one of us do something awful to the other.

They've had Felix kill me, once. And they've had me kill one of the friends I managed to make there.

It's isolated. Nothing that cut off can exist forever. They must be lying-- please, try to remember that if it gets too hard for now.

...nothing can be so awful that it will destroy us, no matter how far these Administrators and the whims of our mundanes may push our limits. I refuse to believe that.
