Fact is it’s my job, my responsibility to lead these people, to direct them as a unit. I’m not sure you are capable of bringing that to the table, and there is zero percent margin for error here. No plans, but I don't think she is ready for that yet either. I still have work to do with her.

You realize you're not in command of her, right? I've seen muns do things to people so against their wishes it's absurd and cruel. You can't simply tell her 'no'. It doesn't work like that here.

I realize that would be true with most of them yes. This one is different than many. She seemed to be trying to actively avoid a lot of the cruelty around here beyond what we create for ourselves anyway.

I was very close the Loki of my world. Too close to express properly to you - you don't know what it is to be a much-hated hero and deserve it. My judgment regarding him in other universes is impaired because of the bond I have with him, especially after the Chitauri incident. I'm sorry, sir, but the answer to that question is yes, I am. I have seen him be redeemed. I feel like he could be even when presented with overwhelming evidence your universe's Loki is not mine because he is as a brother to me.

I'm sorry. If it's any consolation, Natasha is uncompromised in every alternate universe I have ever seen. She, at least, is steadfast.

Ok that is one messed up alternate reality. But I'll take your word for it. Things come down between us and Loki and you stay clear. We have enough people who are more than eager to deal with him.

Agent Romanoff is one of the best for a very good reason, not surprised in the least.
