On the coming weeks at exitvoid

New people ending up in the ocean with a massive shark swimming about or ending up with the ship's monsters ready to eat them or in the vents where they can fall through into the hull. After that, I have to be down in the Holds working on the engines while the monsters are chasing me. We have no steering, no power and only a small amount of clean water. All the food on board except for the canned creamed corn will be rotting and soon to be overrun with maggots and flies.

All of this in ninety to hundred degree temperatures. Then there's that kid that's you're letting steal all my identification and tell others who I am. No one needs to know I worked for the FBI when the last person known to be any sort of law enforcement around here ended up dead. No, I'm not getting involved in that either. Someone else can figure out who killed Detective Inspector Lestrade. There's not a lack of suspects. At least he's not here among them.

Couldn't go to the nice dreaming place, no. I had to go here.

It's not stealing that is the biggest problem. It's putting himself into danger without considering the consequences. If I was his mother.... Or one of the adults who he does listen to... I'd ground him for life considering some of the things I know he gets into.

I really wish he'd think about things before he just went and did them. From what I understand his parents are pretty terrible at teaching him proper limits and grossly negligent.

Isn't this the same kid that was up climbing on the ship during the bad weather? Or that the guy in the morgue said was down there poking at diseased animals? Or falling down stairs? Or out in the ship while sick?

Have you thought about a leash? They have those now cleverly disguised as backpacks for the kid to wear.

I knew he was accident prone but I didn't know about climbing outside in a storm.... Or poking at whatever it is Wesker is doing.

He is so getting grounded. Considering I can track pretty much everyone on the boat that won't be hard... I'll just have to have a chat with a few people.

He filmed himself doing the climbing. Looked like he was about to fall. Didn't see him down in the morgue, but I heard the complaints.

Or with him. With some of the people around here, he's going to get killed. Wasn't he around with that other cop that got killed and didn't come back? Lestrade?

I wasn't filming anything, the compass just fell out of my pocket-and I waited for the waves to die down. [ So there. ]

I knew he idolized Lestrade. He tends to feel safer around... detectives and the like. It's why he listens to Sherlock.

His climbing adventure must have happened on one of the days I didn't surface. I get semi-frequent migraines. The ship isn't good for me in bad weather... I can't imagine it's good for him either. He gets sick pretty frequently for a kid.

I know. It's why I worry because he just doesn't seem to get how dangerous the ship is. We have soldiers, assassins, and... people who are not safe to be around all over the ship.

Even I'm not one hundred percent safe.

I just work hard on making sure my issues don't become everyone else's issues. It's important.

I hope it's not him getting someone else killed. That looks more likely.

Damn shame he doesn't feel the same way. This time he stole my ID. What if it's my gun next time? Lot of people on this ship won't look to see who's holding a gun before they shoot.

I don't think he'd intend for it to happen. He doesn't seem to want help when it comes to some thing. A lot of things.

He reacts like physical affection is almost alien.

So I don't think he even knows it would hurt others if something happened to him. He sees facts. Not emotions if they're directed towards him, it seems like.

Intent and outcome aren't always the same. Someone is going to get hurt, him or them.

They're not the only ones. I'd like not to be the person who might shoot him in the dark because he's stealing my things. They're not going to stop and consider his emotional state. I know I wouldn't. I'm not sure I want to live with shooting a child.
