On his mun considering Haven for him
You're getting too far ahead of yourself. You still have decisions to make regarding when to take me from. If not as I am now, then you have still more preparations to make before you can even consider games.
Moreover there are promises you made that should take priority. As well as your new job, which you should leave for. Now.
[You just don't want to go to that game.]
... that is beside the point.

[Peter, shut up, you got eaten by a creepy snake-man, how is that not bad.]
Besides, there are worse places out there. Like, way worse places.
no subject
[That moment when your muse can take insane murderers, but probably not supernatural or unnatural things.]
no subject
Soooo you'd rather be happy with a greater evil?
no subject
If it were possible to be happy with a greater evil. I'd rather not have to put up with another world's evil. There's more than enough in my own.
no subject
I hear you on that. But, so I can get this straight, we are talking about like big bad headless Mysterio villians evil and not Britney Spears evil, right?
no subject
If by that you mean real evil and not simple annoyance, yes.
no subject
....Her songs are pretty catchy though.
[But anyway.]
How's the considering going for that mun of yours? Or have they moved on from considering to deciding?
no subject
Apparently, she thinks you are lucky, and that it is a miracle that was not indeed the case. Personally speaking? I feel it was simply luck.
no subject
[Well...]
I have no time for such a place. I'll consider it luck, though not particularly good luck, that it didn't cross her mind.
no subject
So. You'd much rather be idle? Boredom tends to sow even worse things.
no subject
Not idle. I have a job to do back home. I'd rather be doing that.
no subject
[Tosses her hair a bit.]
All work and no play numbs one's mind after a while, you know. Duty is one thing; resignation, quite another. But a job occupation serves only one purpose: to maintain one's social standing, or to raise it.
Do you not find that dull?

no subject
[An exasperated sigh.]
A pity, really. You humans are truly flawed creatures.
no subject
[He folds his arms loosely.]
That's probably true, but flaws are necessary sometimes. If for nothing else than to make humans unique.
no subject
[Silly human logic confounds her. Hence the headtilt. Then, she fixes him with a slightly ominous gaze, made all the more unnerving by her hollow eyes.]
True. Which is why we Witches find your kind all the more fascinating, infuriating, and...amusing.
no subject
[He'll meet that ominous gaze, but if he's unnerved he doesn't show it.]
'Witches'? I know about tales of course, but they were always human. [He sounds mildly interested in an explanation. What else is there to do?]
no subject
[She grins a bit. It's still quite foreboding.]
The simplest way of putting my existence into perspective is that I exist on a higher plane than humans. In my gameboard, you wouldn't even be able to see or hear me. Only those we have chosen, or those who believe in us, can be graced with our presence.
We are close to godhood, in a sense.
no subject
[Having seen the smiling faces of many insane criminals, her foreboding grin isn't too terribly unnerving.]
Close to godhood, but not gods, then? If I weren't a consciousness inside my mundane's head, I wouldn't believe a word you said. For now however, I accept it.
So then, are there gods in this gameboard of yours?
[OoC: I am greatly enjoying your character! She is quite fascinating.]
no subject
[Unlike her fellow Witches Beatrice and Lambdadelta, she doesn't do the harpy laughter. She simply chuckles.]
Worry not. I expected skepticism from you. To most--as you said--we are tales. But there are no gods. Only demons, and ourselves, and your kind.
[ooc: omg thanks. I haven't played as bern here in a while. And your ginoza is spot on.]
no subject
[Certainly, part of him may wonder about it, but it's been this way for far too long.]
Beyond tales, which are far from the truth in your situation, what would the difference between Witches like yourself and demons be?
[OoC: I'd never heard of the character before, but I'm definitely interested in learning more at this point. And thank you! I've been a bit worried about him, really. First time playing him and all.]
no subject
You are very much a pawn, young man. So you should be more open to letting your Mundane show you new gameboards. You...seem to have a spark left in you. Put it to some use.
[She giggles.]
Demons are subservient to us, most of the time. But some are our equals, and we must gain their respect to make them allies. A Witch may begin as a trainee, but once she masters her magic, she serves no one.
[ooc: she's from a visual novel called umineko no naku koro ni. The storyline...is interesting but hard to explain because of so many plot twists. Give it a shot if you have the time to invest.]
no subject
[He inclines his head ever so slightly.] The only thing to change about my position is the amount of power I hold. If I'm a pawn now, then I was before as well. Still... I will consider her choice.
[Best that could've been expected, really!]
So even if a Witch were to have less power than a demon, she would still be the one in control? Of herself at the least if none other. If having less power than a demon does occur, at any rate.
[OoC: I might look into it when I come to my next days off work! Lord knows I need more timesinks.]
no subject
Witches are at the topmost level of my original gameboard's hierarchy. There is no such thing as a "weak" Witch, though some may have more talent than others.
no subject
Then let me rephrase. Is it possible for a demon to be stronger than any one witch, and if so what then?
no subject
[A giggle. She finds his straightforwardness amusing.]
There are a few rare exceptions, yes. At which point, a Witch must gain the demon's favor. If all succeeds, the demon will serve as an ally and equal, rather than as Furniture, like most demons do.
