I'm surprised your impulsiveness hasn't gotten you into an...undesirable situation yet.

[ A pause, a sigh. ]

This isn't a good idea. Take my word of advice for it: leave me be. I have enough complications to be concerned about without these insistent interventions.

And no. I do not wish to comment on any of the occurred events. Although I'm sure you'll find out in due time.

Well, I've never put much stock into the Lancae creation myths, but I do believe the story goes that Longinus was the first vampire.

And I know nothing of werewolves. Nor do I care to.

[She narrows her eyes, not quite buying it yet...even if his blood potency is wickedly off the charts.]

What clan are you?

Thank you! I love Elijah!

My darling, if you spent any time in a Kindred court, as you apparently have not, you would quickly realize that trust is a precious commodity.

Our Prince learned that the hard way.

You'd make a halfway decent Prince yourself, if that's so. Poor, poor Prince Atiyah thought it would be logical to trust everybody until they gave him reason not to trust him.

They gave him ample reasons.

So he burned down the city.

[She examines Elijah critically.]

I very much doubt you'd let a situation come to that. Your potency would be enough to keep the neonates in line.

A term for vampires who haven't seen their first century yet. The Kindred are quite fond of their vocabulary. I'd give you a lesson, but it's frightfully dull.

[She rakes a hand through her hair, giving him a little half smile.]

And I don't flatter idly, darling. Do take the compliment.

I have a talent, my dear. For recognizing people worthy of my attention.

What can I say? I like a man in a suit.

Yes, quite bold. They call me "that brazen hussy" around Chicago.

Men, especially mortal men, are just threatened by a woman in trousers, I think.
