Retesting Voice;
Oh no, I'll have to insist you stop that right now. Didn't your mother ever tell you no sad faces were allowed at the dinner table? Harp on it constantly, if we're being honest with each other? Which, by the by, we're not. I would never say such things about my mother.
You could rival Fenris and Anders combined with that pout, but I'm afraid it's not in the least bit convincing. No, serrah, pouts and frowns and sad pitiful things absolutely do not work on me at all.
Don't you give me that look.
You know all you have to do is say the word. That's how a partnership works, isn't it? Though offering coin with the beck-and-call helps ease the sting a bit...that's not going to work, is it? Someday, perhaps. The point is, all this moping about like my shadow's this awful thing to stand in is ridiculous.
Maker, you're turning into my brother. If I asked nicely, would you stop?
Proactivity. Iniative. Yadda, yadda, do I sound authoritative enough to get you to listen yet?

By which I mean that it doesn't matter much what she wants--especially if she's just going to mope at me like Carver does--we're definitely doing it anyway.

Maybe she just needs more to drink.
[Hawke. Hawke, that is not helpful.]

To be fair, everyone needs a bit more to drink.

More drinks for everyone!

[Uh, Hawke, you didn't actually settle anything...]

If it worked for Alistair, it very well may work for you, as well.

...You mean like Flemeth's sort of way-way-over-the-hill crone laugh, because if that's where we're going here, I might just have to pass. Unless it somehow makes me endearing even when I'm sober? Then perhaps. But it's an iffy perhaps.

Perhaps Anders may be able to give you some beneficial instruction? When he was drunk, he'd try emulating a woman's voice while telling stories and he sounded remarkably like her. It was practically eerie.
[ some things just have not changed. ]

Though it's an idea. [Interest piqued.] What stories were these, I wonder?

His sixth escape attempt from the Circle, which, he says was simply for the sake of being in the company of a particular woman templar on the long journey back to the Tower.
Believe that or not, his impression of the woman was quite good!
