No. He found me at home alone and is helping me try to find my parents. I guess he's kind of like an older brother, or a second dad.

They went on holiday to Savannah. Except....

[Except things went terribly wrong in the most unexpected and cruel ways, being left alone with her babysitter who ended up being bitten. Hiding in the treehouse until she heard Lee show up.]

Except that things got a little scary, after the babysitter got bitten. But Lee has been taking really good care of me since then.

[Since, hell, Clementine understands things have been tough, that sometimes they were stuck between a rock and a hard place and that he and the others were trying their best to get through everything. To survive.]

Yeah. That's why I got scared and went to hide in the treehouse in the yard. It hasn't been so bad with Lee at least, I'm not alone anymore.

[Well, probably hardly surprising, since the girl is all of eight, nearly nine years old. She seems to consider this for a moment, perhaps a little hesitant.]

But, maybe some hot chocolate?

That's just as good as coffee! Well, second to coffee. Maybe third, just behind cherry pie. Would you like marshmallows with that?

[There's a nod, and she'll watch him carefully as he makes the drinks. She'd offer to help, but she knows from experience adults don't tend to like her being around anything hot in the kitchen. How long had it been since they had properly had food or drink like this that wasn't so tightly rationed?]

[He pours the water into the cup and adds in the cocoa mix. He briefly pauses to choose between large or small marshmallows. Finally, he puts in one large and several smalls. He passes over the mug.]

Here you go. Should be some, excuse me, damn fine hot chocolate if I do say so myself.

I'm sorry, I forgot introductions. I'm Special Agent Dale Cooper.

You just made a swear! [But, she supposes 'damn' is one of the more minor ones as far as she knows, unlike some other words. She looks up from the marshmallows when he introduces himself, offering her name in return.]

So, this "Lee"... Father figure?

[Clem just. Gives him a look at that. But okay, he had said 'excuse me' for his language, yeah. There's a moment of thought before she decides 'father figure' is probably the best way to describe Lee's relationship to her.]

Uh-huh. Something like that, he's been taking care of me since he found me back home.

[Cooper is simultaneously childish and mature. He gets that kinda look a lot.]

Ah. Something dangerous go occur that you had to leave home?

[While Lee and the others try, they are not immune to Clem's 'yeah right' looks either. Or reprimanding if she feels the need. She blows on the hot chocolate before taking a sip and answering.]

Yeah, it...wasn't safe, so we left to try and find my parents at Savannah.

[A nod.] It seems like it, sometimes. But at least I'm not alone anymore. Lee and I found some other people to stick with now.

My name is Yasha. I met Lee...a few days ago. Strange, how time flows here...he's searching for you, and I've let enough pass me by. After I find a safe place for you, will you mind me leaving to lead him to you?


(OOC: So this may be a bit to throw on you, but a Lee and I have this thread going, and I'd like to invite you to it - already okayed with Lee's player. I figure this thread could've happened there, as in Yasha found her by luck. You'd probably reply in a couple posts (after Yasha tells Lee and they zoom off to reunite), but yeah, just an idea!)

I guess it's sort of like another family. We try and look out for each other now we're all together. And Ben has been really nice to me.
