Dear girl, you honor me. I have seen many strange and interesting things in my life, but this was something I could not have envisioned in my most disturbing of dreams or wonderful nightmares. To be a puppet in such a place is, granted, very unsettling but rather charming at the same time.

Do you think we will be able to find my family? They will be absolutely lost without me, particularly Gomez. There are many things going on right now, after all, I simply cannot be away for too terribly long.

Exactly. It might be interesting with an outside perspective but things get personal eventually.

Oh yes, I am interested by it all. An inheritance I was gifted with.

Then I'll try something. It should work considering what I can do.

[He is really surprised he never tried this before. Taking some seed packets out of his pocket, his choice was of course a rose seed. Kneeling he would plant it in the ground.]

This should be interesting.

[He sat down on the ground with his legs crossed. Removing his hat and goggles before concentrating on the ground. Soon his eyes would begin glowing purple and miraculously a rose bush grew out from the ground. However he added in his own twist for Morticia. The roses were naturally black.]

[Morticia watched with interest, crossing one arm over her waist and placing her hand to rest along on her jaw, two fingers extended up her cheek. At the glowing of his eyes, a manicured brow lifted, and as the rose bush appeared, black as night, she drew in a great breath, buxom chest heaving a bit.]

My...how beautiful!

[When it was all done his eyes looked a little glazed over.]

I'll say. It's brilliant to do things like this with nature. I don't know why I avoided doing this other than worrying my mind would break under the strain.

[After a bit his eyes would return to their natural purple hue.]

[She deigns to lean down, plucking one deftly, pale fingers moving through the thorns with the ease of someone who does it rather often.]

How very pleasant, Karl. You know magic, is that correct to assume?

I don't know if it's magic or not. I was born like this. My friends and I all were.

[He decides he can tell her a bit about his life.]

There's twelve of us in all. We were all born on the same day with pale skin and purple eyes.

That is what everyone else thought too. It was just something unique.

The issue came when we started developing our abilities. The government took notice pretty quickly.

Ah, the government. We rather tend to stay away from them, terribly dreadful lot, and in the absolute worst of ways.

Exactly. When we refused to be their weapons they turned their guns on us.

It is so like many to try and control that which they do not understand or fear, or that which refuses to bend to their will.

That I have seen, at least.

I can't even explain what happened next but after, everything people relied on was gone.
