Perhaps we should both be comforted -- myself by the fact that you are concerned for me and you by the fact that I willingly accept, and yes, even embrace the current road I find myself on.
Though I would not have chosen those particular circumstances to part on, I needed the journey we shared and I am better for knowing my companions. Ambergris, Afafenfere, Effron, Enteri--how I never expected to say that about him!--and of course, Dahlia...
What can be said of Dahlia? She still has her demons, but she is a strong one. Perhaps our paths will cross yet again one day, but for now...
For now I have Guen and the freedom of truth in my heart.

[Heavy shakes a bottle of liquor in his hands; by the looks of it, he has been drinking quite a bit already.]

[Have a resigned yet somewhat jovial smile at that.]
A drink wouldn't be unwelcome, though I've learned not to share one without introductions first. Drizzt Do'Urden, at your service.

[He beckons to the small minigun seated upright on the chair next to his. Behold it's shiny glory, because Heavy spends ages polishing it and god forbid anyone gets a scratch on it.]
This is my weapon, Natasha. She is beautiful, yes?
Now come, dark man! Drink with me and we shall toast life. Easy life, tough life, any life!
no subject
A worthy toast; to life.
[A drink to old companions as well. He'll nod and give a polite bow.]

And to comrades! I have many of them.
[His finger taps against the glass as he recalls some of his team mates.]
There is Doktor. Doktor is credit to team, always trying to help everyone with his gun. And Engineer's toys are very good; they put bullets into enemy's head. Rataratarata! Just like Natasha, not as good, but good enough. Soldier is stupid man, but stupid man with big heart, always talking about America this, America that. I tell you, he's crazy, but a good kind of crazy. Like Pyro! But Pyro is more crazy than everyone.
You have good comrades, dark man?
no subject
What content man does not? I have had the best.

[He lifts his glass.]
I find it hard to decide on where to begin. I will simply say that I've had the privilege of fighting alongside the likes of Bruenor Battlehammer, Regis the halfling, Wulfgar of the Elk Tribe, and my beloved Cattie-brie.
[And a sip from his toasted glass.]
They are from an era long-gone, and yet they are with me even know in spirit. Apart from them were my newest companions: Ambergris of Citadel Adbar, Brother Afafenfere of the Yellow Rose, dear Effron, the assassin Artemis Entreri, and Dahlia Sin'felle.
And though some may think me alone now in the world, I will always have my dearest Guenhwyvar.

Perhaps. I find it refreshing.

I would wager I'm the strangest dark elf you will ever meet.
[ considering the majority of his race just likes to kill and hate pretty much everybody. ]
no subject
Given that I have never before met a dark elf, I suppose I can't claim otherwise.
no subject
If you ever happen to meet another, I apologize in advance.

Are they truly so awful?
no subject
Apart from the occasional outcast, yes.
