Debating canon point (probable spoilers)

You know I'm usually a really good sport about your ideas, and I love a challenge almost any other time, but this is NOT one of those times. That idea is so totally not okay for so many reasons. And listen up, because this is the only time I'm gonna ask this.

It's nothing dangerous this time! Just a poorly timed canon update. [This isn't embarrassing or awkward or any of those things right]

Pretty sure she goes easy on me since I'm the youngest. [Pfft.

Cassie is always game for some action.

And, oh, uh, right. Well now she's rubbing the back of her neck.]

Well to start, we only just figured out how much we're gonna tell the original team about the future. It looks like we might be getting ready for some kind of event, with the nightmares and paranoia theme and all that. I'm worried about one of my dreams showing up on the network again.

[Tim might not be the most astute when it comes to picking up on signals from women, but he is a detective. She's nervous around him and from an early time period. Combine those two facts together and he can figure out the rest for himself.]

If you've got all of that coming up, then your mun needs to wait on updating you. Sounds like all of you have enough to deal with as it is.

[Reaches for her hand, but quickly stops himself.]

I take it no one has figured out a way to hack the network to stop that? [Sticks to keeping things strategy related.]

[Sharp as ever. She's from pretty far back. Try Beneath, in fact.]

I'll try to talk her out of it, but she doesn't really have a great track record for listening to us up here in this headspace deal.

[She'd like to return the gesture but SO MUCH UNSURE. timmynothosearemyshipperfeels>| Instead she reaches up to touch one of her earrings-- the one that turns into her communicator in game.]

Well, Robin-- Nightwing I mean --he's tried, but he hasn't been able to get a filter that works one hundred percent of the time yet.

[That is a ways back.]

I don't think anyone's mun does.

[Folds his arms across his chest, removing the temptation to reach for her hands again. Not being able to comfort her is frustrating, but he feels like it would be unfair to impose his feelings on her when she could be from a time where she doesn't have any for him.]

What about M'gann? If she's there with you, she could put up a mental block.

[Very far, hence the need for the update OKAY OKAY I GET IT could take you from an earlier point geez.

And she decides to do the same and try to look casual.]

She's up here with some others with powers like hers, they haven't managed it yet. I don't think it works on the mundanes like it does other people.

[A pause, a dry look.]

That or she's just that stubborn.

[Shakes his head, a small grin tugging at his lips.]

I meant M'gann could try and block your dreams from being transmitted. [Pauses.] Unless you also meant that.

[His grin spreads at the mention of stubbornness.]

You wouldn't know anything about that. [Okay, he can't help but do a little bit of playful teasing.]

[OH. Whoops. SHE KNEW THAT. noshedidn't.] Oh! Right! That, of course! No luck with M'gann either, though. The only thing that seems to work is not sleeping at all. You'd think that would be easy with how noisy the towers get. [There, that laugh is happier, because life at the towers IS pretty awesome.

I have no idea what you could be talking about, boy wonder. [Smirk.]

I've pulled a couple of all nighters before. [In a row. Gotham is a busy place.] They can be really rough.

Oh, you're right. I must be thinking of another blonde haired, blue eyed member of our team who brings a whole new meaning to "goes down swinging".

So should we start calling you Night Owl? [Teasing grin there, and finally she gives in with a short laugh.]

Alright, alright! But in my defense it's not like I could've turned out any other way. [Between her parents and her mentor it was pretty much ingrained into her very being.]

Pass. The night thing is more of...Nightwing's thing. [Seeing her laugh brings a proper smile to his face.]

And hey, no complaints over here. I'm all for teaming up with someone who is determined and a heavy hitter. [Not to mention pretty...]

You know what would be awesome, though? Ditch. Can you imagine how awesome that would be with the team? Man, maybe I should suggest it to the others, too...
