Okeanos is moreso a metaphor but you'll get there eventually.

Sounds alright to me. I think traveling would be fun. After that I have no clue as to what I'd like to do with my life. But seeing you makes me realize I make it just fine.

There's some adventures in store, to be certain. And there is a fair amount of traveling.

Everything you're telling me sounds great! Kind of comforting really, considering I don't have much of a plan at all. I don't suppose many people can say they've met their future selves.

Do you have any advice or regrets? I'm not exactly regretting anything now...but later...?

Nah. Besides, if I did, they could be used against me, and like hell that's permissible. But I can say trust your instincts in any given situation.

...Just one last thing. Was I right in thinking that blood isn't as important as people think it is? Or do you even know yet?

Let's say that once you have a proper lab and student help, the research conducted over the years points towards you having reasonable claims with demonstrable evidence to back you up, and with enough weight that people can't mock you when you bring it to light.

Do you grow out of missing the big guy? Or does it kinda stay with you forever off and on?

Not exactly, but close.

[He's not about to tell himself about how much the recognition sucks or how frustrating it gets playing politics all the time just for say, department budgets, because without this Lord El Melloi II gig nothing is possible.]

At some point, there's peace with it, and it takes on a very different form. I would be less cryptic, but I refuse to spoil the revelation.
