[He grins -- though perhaps he didn't quite mean it like that.]

But I suppose a certain inspector isn't around to chase everyone away.

He's not--though, my mundane has mentioned how amusing the idea would be.

It's certainly a surprise, but it's pretty obvious this underclassman's quite smitten with her. I don't think she's noticed. [In-game, at least.]

[Her father might be pleased to hear that! But Raphael is unsurprised this time; nodding in acknowledgement.]

She's a very focused person.

[In other words, unless he becomes her focus somehow -- like Raphael has -- she likely won't.]

Well, yes, but he'd actually be allowed on campus. I'm pretty sure a lot of boarding schools don't allow pets. [She laughs a bit.]

[Well Fondue is apparently allowed in the library, the Eiffel Tower, the museum, and so many other places he would've never dreamed of -- so obviously he's special!

Because the mention of a professor isn't as convincing as Marie might have hoped -- but the fact that it's Marie of all people does help. He continues after a moment, with a mysterious smile that's a bit hard to read.]
