Because my life isn't complicated enough, you want to send me into some strange city sans Dad, sans Batman, sans Birds, sans everything and everyone I know.
I get that I'm being stubborn about the whole, "I don't need any help," bit, but at least I'm flying solo on ground that I know like the back of my hand. Gotham's my home, my territory, not some weird alternate dimension you've got your heart set on. I have things to do and asses to kick and none of it's a game.
...I don't know a Cassandra Cain, why should I be happy she's there?
Why are you laughing?

Even if we're currently lacking a Robin. That's not just a rumor, right?
I mean, I get wanting to protect your city, but there's a whole world out there that needs protecting, too.
...I don't know about the alternate dimension thing, though. That just sounds...weird.

I don't know if it gets any better — It's a thing we hear on the regular over here.

She's kinda like a little sister to me. She's got a ways to go, but she's a good kid with a big heart.

There was, once upon a time, a girl who was never allowed to learn how to speak. All her life, she'd lived in silence - silence, and training. Martial arts. She was little, and alone, but she got to be very, very good. Kick-the-big-bad-Bat's-ass kind of good, and not ever break a sweat, too. She could read a person's body language perfectly, but words? Language was just noise to her, noise she did not understand.
Then those who raised her like that made her do what they meant her from the beginning. And she did it - but the pain she saw when she did made her rebel. Made her run.
Later, she found her way to a big bad city in a different part of the world. The big bad city was devastated at the time by an earthquake the like of which was not imagined, before.
There, she met a beautiful red-haired princess, who was the cleverest person in the land. The princess got to notice the girl, and understand, a little. So she took her in, and gave her a name, and started teaching her all the things the girl had been missing.

Except. You know. The whole solo thing? I'm still kinda set on making Bats take me. [Even if he isn't in her game.]
