Crack AU Clu1 Dog (Tron) says hi!
[Oh hey, there seems to be a big, derpy yellow lab wandering around. How did he get here? Who knows. But he's got a white collar with a yellow name plaque on the back. The writing on it probably won't make much sense to anyone who doesn't read binary, though:
010000110110110001110101001011010100011001000001001100000011011100110001001100000011100000110001
Hanging from the collar is a bauble in the shape of a neutral Bit, and if one looks carefully, softly glowing yellow circuits can be glimpsed through the fur.
He seems friendly enough, anyway. Want to pet him?]

And keeping a bit of distance between them sounds like a good plan. He's not normally afraid of cats, but Dumont is hardly your ordinary housecat. More like Arnold Schwartza-kitty.
You get a slightly wary tail-wag, though, as he checks you out, Dumont.]

....Totally weird name for a dog.

Hi there! You know his name now, so what's yours?]

[Nena pats the dog on the head.]
I'm Nena, by the by! Hee hee!

idiotgenius computer programmer. But he gives great hugs, so he's clearly got the important parts down, right? And hi, Nena! Clu leans happily into the pats, a derpy dog grin on his face and his tail wagging a bit more.]

Crouches down in the classic canine 'c'mon let's play!' pose. Do you have a ball? Or a disc? He's great at fetching things. Or maybe you want to dig some stuff up? he's good at that too.]

[ Alan proceeds to pet the dog because dogs are awesome. ]

Sniff-sniff-sniff. Nope, not him.
But petting is always good. Leans into the pettings with a derpy dog grin.]

Yep, you seem nice. Have some cold-nosed nuzzles against your hand in greeting. Hi there. What's your name?]

[Kneel down, hand out. Look non-threatening. See what happens]
Hey, boy. What are you doing here?

[Have a slightly worried security program (who happens to read binary) crouching down to give your ears a scratch, Clu.]

Then ear scritchings commence and he leans into them because aaawww, yeah that feels nice...]

So, she wanders closer and studies the name plackard...]
...
"Binary?"
[It takes her a few seconds. Living in a laboratory for god only knows how long will do that to you. But she knows the language. Once answered an essay question on her application for Aperture in it. Well why not test a theory?
Wandering over to the dog, she flops down and offers a hand to sniff. And then she starts writing...]

[And barring that? She'll just scritch him behind the ears if he'll let her. But man, getting to write binary was nice.

But that doesn't matter right now because there are ear scritchings! Clu-dog leans into the scritches, tail wagging, and a derpy dog-grin on his face.]

"You.... are a good dog."
