fancy_pants: (you mean to tell me)

I hope you don't mind my saying so, mundane, but you seem surprised that I find so many of the people in this place so easy to identify with.

[Really? You identify with them?]

...Perhaps identify is the wrong word to choose, but I do at least find many of them interesting, and that's not precisely the same. It makes it easier to avoid breaking character, if nothing else. I'm also somewhat relieved not to have an Inmate, even if it somewhat limits what I can do here. Of all the poor devils I have met and the many more I have yet to meet, I have not seen one that I think would be best cared for in my hands, of all the others there.

[And reminded of something, he practically bounces in his seat.]

Ooh. Did I tell you that there is a Loki there? ...Well, of course you know. You saw him when I did and possibly before. But the ancient god of mischief. How exciting! One wouldn't think to expect such a person on the Barge -- of  course, one would first have to consider a god a person, and I suppose they are -- they are given human attributes to make them more relatable, after all, but fascinating, mundane! Here, perhaps, to atone for the untimely death of Baldr? Certainly a kindlier fate than being bound to the rocks by the entrails of his child to await Ragnarok. Or perhaps his luck ran out before Ragnarok came, who knows?

[You're going to be so disappointed, King.]

Hm? Why do you say that?

I fail to see the excitement in a prison barge.

Perhaps, though I doubt many do.
