They don't sound much like 'homes' at all.

[Homes are nice and pretty and welcoming. Not underwater, not with dangerous mist and funny names and certainly no worshiping gods.]

[Although she has to wonder just what sort of home her father would be approving of for her. Probably a place covered with pillows and full of fluffy puppies and kittens. And all you can eat parfaits.
