But both sentiments are true, my dear. I'll encourage him to pursue voicing me, but discourage his doing so until he resolves the unsettled matter of...moving his other pieces.

From what I've seen of how these things seem to go thus far, they don't seem like the sort of games that can be concretely won or lost. They're more the type played for their own sake. Which, in my opinion, is a complete and utter waste of time - at least, where my own is concerned. She's welcome to waste hers however she likes, but I've a schedule to keep.

Would you call it courage, or hubris? My own Mundane recently accepted me as a muse, going so far as to submit an application for me at the "game" he likes so much, despite having very little time for the one he has engaged now.

Indeed. Though he is attempting to make the time, his ambition falters any time his workload exceeds the amount of free time he wishes to have. It is something of a paradox.

An interesting question, and one I must confess has never been asked of me before.

If I am to answer in a word, it would be this: Progress. Everything I do is for the future of all people. Everyone, from those of us in the Capitol, who carry the burden of rule on our shoulders, to those in your often-undervalued District 12. We are all dependent upon one another, and the sooner that is understood, the sooner we can move toward a brighter future.
