re: meme/psl/plurk madness
Rise of the Meme Guardians --
You can't honestly be going with that. Come on, come on, come on. It's dumb and doesn't sound very, oh, I dunno. Snazzy? Let's go with snazzy. You guys should at least come up with something more original. Seriously.
I'd say "it's embarrassing," but that would only encourage you. Then again, this whole post is going to encourage you.
Computer, delete message. ... I said delete, not post -- Ah, hell.

I guess "knowing every little thing about a person just by looking at them" falls under the category of "feeds off fear." [except it doesn't. though it does. ... whatever]

The conclusion I have to all of this.
Is that someone needs to actually take him out for coffee.

Merida says he promised to leave her home alone, and she doesn't think he'll come around with Jack there. But she also said he's the type who likes a challenge. I don't see that as a good enough reason for him to not hurt her if he really wanted to. Since the likelihood of anyone being able to fight him off or threaten him into staying away is almost literally less than zero [sorry Jack bro he's thinking in terms of mundane plottiness], I figured maybe it'd work out best if instead he's motivated by a friend. Or something.
Of course, this is all going to go horribly wrong and blow up in our faces, but hopefully it'll be in the way of "oh great now we're ACTUALLY friends with Pitch" and that'll be enough drama and interesting plot twists for the muns.

Yeah, but. Capt— [ ok np he can wait for an opening. ] Captain.
The Boogeyman doesn't want any friends.

[a long pause. and then, making a face because he REALLY DOESN'T LIKE THIS IDEA:]
To be entirely goddamn honest, our best bet would be to have Merida do it.

[ it. would make sense. ]

[Jim half-grins at that, but only half.]
Depends on how he reacts to being embarrassed. I'd rather not poke the shadow with teeth.

I'm not going to ask it of you, but if you think it's a good idea, I'm not gonna stop you.
[read as: he doesn't want the recruit to get hurt on his behalf]

[ eh, he's not eight anymore. things will be finnne. most likely. ]

Just be careful. And say something if you need back-up.
