Whatever their motives are, Mundanes aren't easy to dissuade once they get an idea. On the other hand, when and if they choose to put us back where we belong, it's back at the moment we left.
Maybe the opportunity for adventure wouldn't be so bad, even if some of the places you can end up are a bit... questionable.
