We aren't always given a choice in our departure from this world. Sometimes the best we can do is to g out fighting until our last breath.

But for what it's worth, I think you do more in the world than out of it.

It's ok to not be alright with it, you know.

You get a different perspective when you have a relative SO eager to avoid death that he tries to possess your body, you know. Death comes, sooner or later.

I know about being used, being a conduit, people having plans for you and not giving you choice in the matter.

But that isn't the only way things can happen, there is no fated ending for your life.

Trust me on this.

Hmm, let's look at some of my alternatives.

I lose, and Father makes good on his statement that he will let Mother take me away again.

I win or lose and kill my brother. It would bet he third time I break my promise to Father. The last potential that he would trust me is gone.

I win or lose and go on to become the Batman from the future he saw, the one who let Gotham be poisoned by the Joker serum badly enough that an order to nuke it was justified.

I would say that, compared to some of the options, it is better if I die, defeating and destroying for good my Mother's plan.

Or you get help and be somewhere else when this happens or have people backing you up to avoid those ends.

Or any of a countless other possible realities.

I am the help they get. And I am not going in alone. Sometimes, it doesn't make any difference.
