Hey. Keyboard Girl.
You're the one who keeps saying you'd give an arm and a leg and maybe even more to trap Dawn in wingdom with me. Do I miss her? Yes. Do I want her here? ...Yes. But do I want to see you maimed in the process--?
...A-actually, we can probably mark that one down as a 'yes' as well, can't we?
No. Listen. My point is that you really gotta cool it on the casual wishes. Someone might come along and actually grant one of them. And then where would you be? Haven't you seen enough of my life to know that a gal should always wish responsibly?
Still, I suppose I wouldn't exactly be opposed to a few familiar faces...[ oh great now she's in a wishtastic mood. we're all doomed. ]

[Or maybe you DON'T know.]

Is it that they say a dream is a wish your heart makes...? Because I've heard that one, I have.
no subject
No, me dollie: something more along the lines of beggars riding.
no subject
If I beg you not to tell me this story, will you grant my wish?

[ she says his name with just that slight spice of warning. caution. apprehension. ]

[ never is a bit harsh. but then again, harsh is a good way to start when it comes to this particular ex. ]

[ well. what would she do? buffy sighs. ]
Well, that'd solve a lot of problems. Wouldn't it?

That might just have to do.
no subject
Yeah, all right.
[He knows wishes, too.]

[ her eyes drop. buffy feels guilty for feeling guilty over the fact that she can't give him that. not now; probably not ever. not after-- ]
Well. You said it first. [ you're not friends. you'll never be friends. he said it to her and angel, first. but he still said it. ] You and me weren't built for friendship. Not with each other, Spike.
[ if she could change that... ]

[Or he will be. He'll have to be. He'll never hurt her again. If he can help it.
But it's confirmation of something. He was right, at that last moment. And despite what she says, the fact that she lied does mean she has some feeling for him. He can live on that.]

[ barely. she's barely moved on. she's settled down with someone else in a feathery prison and as deeply as she cares for that someone, it's impossible to shake some feelings. impossible to shake some memories. ]
For both our sakes.
no subject
[He smiles.]
Anyway, I've moved on. Lots. All over. Lots of moving. On.
no subject
That's --
Good. Great. I'm glad for you. Over the moon. Two thumbs way up.
[ hypocrisy. ]
no subject
Oh yeah. Been keeping real busy. Just like I knew you'd've wanted.

[ considering she's no longer in scotland. not that luceti is a terrible improvement. ]

well. she can't decide if that's a blessing or not. ]
Could be worse; you could have wings.
