It's just a passing thought, and something my mun had only recently realized was the usual way to see things. She and I are personally uncomfortable of what you could call a "game mechanic".

It does seem a bit strange, the way marriage seems to be so prevalent on the battlefield.

There is a great deal of fascination with it, truly, though I suppose some people enjoy the romances.

It is a bit of a weird way to handle it, but I cannot deny that couples in pairs fight better on the battlefield. However, good friends can do nearly just as well.

I suppose the idea of putting your life in the line makes some want to make the most of it while they can. I can relate to that.

I also agree with that, on both accounts. I trust my friends in battle with my life.

There is something to be said of having a family and 'home' embrace to return to.

But, indeed, friends are a family all their own, after this campaign. I believe it unlikely we will forget any of those who shared in this venture with us, or that there could be others we would be more desirous of fighting beside.
