This adjective you insist on applying to me--
"spoony."
I wonder if you'd be so kind as to enlighten me in regard to its meaning, writer dove.

Foolishly or sentimentally in love was what it meant when the first time a bard called that. In general it means silly, foolish, or overly sentimental.

Spoony. A spoony sparrow. I do hope it doesn't refer to the cutlery.

Indeed.
You're the heroic blackbird. And the subject of plenty tall tales, as well, if I'm not mistaken. [Met you in his game, yes.]

Though I'm sure I'm in many tales, I do not think I've heard that nickname before.

I come up with my own. And you must admit that it is fitting.

I like it. Birds are one of the most fascinating creatures on the surface.
[And blackbirds tend to have an undue bad reputation, just like him.]

Hardly. I'd award that honor to the humans.

That would have been my second choice. Humans, dwarves, elves. The variation of people is astounding.

Pray don't forget the tieflings, now.

I cannot say I have had the opportunity to meet any tieflings.

Keep in mind that not all of us are so fantastically lyrically gifted and courteous. [And obviously super modest, yes.]

I make a habit to believe not all of a kind are the same, my friend.
[Obviously.]
