It's scary when Ganondorf starts critiqueing other villains...

This... Aizen... truly a fool. He places too much trust in his minions and machinations. Hiding behind layers upon layers of planning and tenuous alliances... and these Arrancar... Giving power to beings like those.

Too many variables with too little control. A single strike could undo centuries of planning, and for what? Power? Control? Immortality?

[He scoffs.] I will enjoy seeing this man's farce come to an end with him face down in his own blood.

[He chuckles slightly, a deep and distorted sound as he grinds his tusks against the barrier.]

Intriguing... so those pins act as focal points for the spell to be cast. I need only bathe it in your blood to seal your power within... then I will be truly unstoppable.

[He smirks a bit as he takes a few steps backward, starting to circle around her like a predator and its prey.]

I wonder, how long will you be able to withstand my assaults, or if I'll be forced to take a different approach to pierce your shields...

[And without warning, he charges again, roaring as he does.]

[There's no reply. Orihime is not well-versed in the art of trash talk, and she won't confirm or deny his claims.]

[She hates to do it. It feels like she's revealing too much, but he's whittling down her options, and there's no one else she can rely on to protect her right now. Two more petals fade from her hairpins as she places Tsubaki and his power in the middle of the shield. This changes the properties of the shield to not only reject the damage that could be done, but reflect it back on the one who delivers the damage in the first place. Ganondorf had best take care.]

[Unaware of the change in the shield's properties, he runs head-first into the barrier, only to be sent skidding backward a dozen feet.]

You're just full of surprises, aren't you? That's quite alright though...

[He laughs as he rears back onto his hind legs, taking a more humanoid form.]

..I am as well. [He summons a large trident, twirling it over his head, generating a large amount of wind and occasional lightning bolt. As the lightning hits the ground, several Mokoblins spring up, shrieking their battle cries before charging blindly at their target. While weak individually, their ever building numbers could quickly overwhelm.]

[Orihime's eyes widen. What in the world... That's way too many! While her shield can repel a lot, there's nothing to prevent them from swarming AROUND the shield. This? This isn't looking so good for her.]

[She runs.]

[As she turns to run, he reverts back to his human form, flying to cut off her escape, a ball of light forming in his hand.]

It is futile, you know. None can escape me.

[OOC: Feel free to bring in other characters or whatever ya want to help Orihime out. *is a sucker for fight threads*]

[OOC: Man, if this were a real game! I'll see if anyone is interested in Plurk, but she might be kind of screwed! XD]

[Orihime doesn't slow. He's probably expecting her too. Instead she charges straight at the man, trying to crash her rock-hard skull against his. No one expects a girl like her to headbutt people, which is probably why she's employing the tactic.]

[Unfortunately for her, Ganondorf doesn't budge, and in fact reaches out to palm her forehead before she gets to him.]

It takes courage to charge me like that, but courage without wisdom is simple folly. Your power will be mine.

[OOC: I'll take a look around if ya want too. I'm sure there's a Link or someone out there willing to come to the rescue. :3]

[Orihime grasps at his wrist, trying to dig in with her fingernails as she struggles. What is he saying? Wasn't he going to destroy her in order to make sure no one else could have that power?]

I refuse...!

[OOC: If not, either she gets kidnapped or killed. It happens!]

[Pardon Ichigo, Ganondorf, this oversized zanpakutou is about to get up all in your arm space. He is not impressed.]

[Dorf senses the approach of the interloper and releases his grasp on Orihime in time to retract his arm. The swarm of Mokoblin hurry to their master's side, eagerly acting as meat-shields as he summons his trident once more.]

So, she has her own 'hero' does she? Tell me boy, what makes you think you can stand against me when the only equal I've had wielded the power of gods?

[Orihime falls back onto her hip with a grunt. She looks up, seeing Ichigo's back and bright orange hair, and relief floods her heart.]

Kurosaki-kun...!

She's got nothing to do with Aizen. Even your Mun can tell you that so keep her out of this.

[He eyes the minions before looking back at Orihime.]

You all right, Inoue?

Perhaps not, but that is no longer my concern. It is her power that interests me now. I could forge her blood-soaked trinket into an impenetrable shield.

[He grins, tapping the hilt of the trident on the ground, stirring the swarm into a frenzy. With a few shrieks, they raise their clubs and charge forward to what will surely be swift deaths. They always were more of a distraction than actual threats.]

I'm not hurt.

[She climbs to her feet and stands at the ready, feet apart, hands closed into fists. While Orihime might not be a match for Ganondorf, she's confident that Ichigo is. She eyes their opponent carefully, and braces herself for the oncoming swarm. The shield goes up, just a few feet in front of Ichigo. If Ganondorf makes a move, she's pretty sure that Ichigo will be the one he targets.]

[He faces Ganondorf and his minions again, not looking amused in the least as he shoulders his weapon. Really, can't these crazy evil overlords take a break and not try to destroy everything and everyone for five minutes?]

Well that's too bad cause it doesn't work that way. Any chance of you leaving this alone right now or are you gonna go for the hard way like everyone else?

[The Mokoblins pound against the shield for all their worth, but make little to no headway. As Ichigo asks his question, though, Ganondorf just laughs, assuming a fighting stance with the trident.]

I am Power Incarnate. Hers will be mine, one way, or another. You will just be another head on my wall.

[With that, he leaps into the air, raining down black lightning bolts from the points of the trident.]

[Orihime places Tsubaki into the middle of the shield. Ganondorf's minions might do themselves in, as they don't seem particularly bright. She glances at Ichigo, hoping he's fast enough to dodge lightning. Her shield is ready as a back up just in case, but for now, she's going to try repelling that horde to keep her friend from being distracted. Those who come around the edge of the shield to get to her will have to deal with Orihime's karate. Tatsuki taught her well.]

[Figures. Hard way it is. He uses his shunpo to avoid the bolts of lightning before going straight for Ganondorf, wasting no time on the minions.]

Give it up already!

[When he gets close enough he slashes his weapon at him.]

[It only takes a few hits for the first wave of Mokoblins to explode into puffs of black smoke. It did serve to cause the diminutive beasts to stop attacking long enough to jabber at each other with their native tongue. Eventually they start poking at the barrier and leaping back much like monkeys poking at a cell phone.]

[Above though, Ganondorf parries the blade, catching it between the points of the trident, twisting with the intent of at least knocking Ichigo off balance. After that, he lunges with black flames engulfing his fist and aimed at Ichigo's face.]

I have conquered time and Death itself! I will not be stopped by an insignificant whelp like you!

[They're not charging the shield blindly anymore. Orihime backs away, putting as much distance as possible between herself and the creatures before she withdraws Tsubaki.]

[As Ganondorf attacks, Orihime slings Tsubaki at the monster of a man. It might hit. It might be nothing more than a distraction. Whatever happens, all she knows is that she won't let Ichigo get hurt.]

Anyone tell you that you talk too much?!

[He hisses an annoyed breath before he yanks the blade back, wide open before swinging it across him with a wave of compressed black reiatsu launching over to his opponent. He doesn't want to use it. He really, really doesn't.]

Getsuga Tenshou!

[The attacks collide in the air, with Ganondorf's fist blasting a chunk out of the wave, causing it to split around him. Tsubaki, however, hits his shoulder, causing him to recoil slightly. With a growl, he throws the trident at Ichigo, summoning a pair of swords to charge him with.]

[The Mokoblins - now too wary of touching the shield - begin to spread out, surrounding Orihime while assuming the barrier protects her from all angles. She's in no danger just yet, but they are growing restless and eager to attack.]

[This isn't exactly the best kind of situation. They're keeping their distance now, but she has to think of some means to discourage them from testing the invisible boundaries. She keeps her back to the shield, hands raised protectively as she risks another quick glance at Ichigo. He seems to be doing well so far.]

[His opponent was really strong and unfortunately just as determined to get to Orihime. Ichigo could feel that the more he used the Getsuga Tenshou the more he risked a chance of...No. He wouldn't think about it.

Steeling himself he settles for fighting with his sword for now to meet Ganondorf's charge. That was something he could do without interference.]
