It's not childish Lupin-san, as a detective, I can't afford to have distracting emotions. They could interfere with the outcome if the case. It's best to remain distant.
Because Sherlock Holmes is the greatest! What self-respecting detective wouldn't aspire to be just like the legendary Sherlock Holmes? I mean, no one will ever beat Holmes of course, but I still strive to be just like him!
Did you know, when he first met his partner Watson, he knew immediately that he was an army doctor? He could even tell he had recently returned rom Afghanistan just by the dirt on his shoes!
Dale's survived Chip so he thinks he has a grasp on Sherlock fans...thinks is the keyword.
He's good, I'll give him that. I won't hold it against Sherlock for bein' human, but with this sniffer I have I could probably tell where Watson was for three days. Shucks, if Sherlock had this just imagine what he could do!
What really bugs me is when my brother wants to be exactly like him, flaws an' all. I'm okay with the detective skills. I just wish Chipper didn't have to have Sherlock's short temper to do it.
I wish him all the luck. his game has an in game rumor that he's sherlock's son orz
but I have been learning as a Rescue Ranger! It'd be swell to apprentice under a real detective like you! Boy would Chip be impressed! [He smiled brightly.]
a-actually he doesn't even know the rumor is a thing, also that's adorable :3
You can't take it personally. You can't let personal feelings get in the way of finding the truth and not focusing entirely on the case at hand could lead to mistakes or incomplete deductions.
I'm sure his feelings haven't changed, it's just that when working on cases those kinds of things have to be shelved.
You mean Irene Adler? Maybe in a sense... but no one will ever beat his observation skills. And since Adler-san was only ever in the one adventure, we can't really say she was better than Holmes.

That being a disassociation with people around him save for the individuals he respected and his opium addiction.

Emotions, distracting as they may be, are a part of being human. Love, among other things, is something that evaded Holmes.

I don't think he had any regrets in life. He plays the game for game's sake and no one can deny his skill.

You can call me Trilby.

His brother is a detective so I apologize for the skepticism.
No... I should be apologizing to you...

[ No... he must have heard wrong. ]
...I'm sorry, did you say flaws?
1/2 Did Conan happen to start these rumors? XD Edward Elric is Dale's adoptive big brother :3 <3
Well maybe not flaws... I just want my brother back, he used to be nicer to me.
Sherlock is smart and he knows science and deduction and logic. I guess he's mad because I'm not that bright..

She's mentioning a town I'm not familiar with...
Norbury?

....and that's different. That's not anyone out-witting Holmes.
