Because Sherlock Holmes is the greatest! What self-respecting detective wouldn't aspire to be just like the legendary Sherlock Holmes? I mean, no one will ever beat Holmes of course, but I still strive to be just like him!

Did you know, when he first met his partner Watson, he knew immediately that he was an army doctor? He could even tell he had recently returned rom Afghanistan just by the dirt on his shoes!

Dale's survived Chip so he thinks he has a grasp on Sherlock fans...thinks is the keyword.

What really bugs me is when my brother wants to be exactly like him, flaws an' all. I'm okay with the detective skills. I just wish Chipper didn't have to have Sherlock's short temper to do it.

You can't take it personally. You can't let personal feelings get in the way of finding the truth and not focusing entirely on the case at hand could lead to mistakes or incomplete deductions.

I'm sure his feelings haven't changed, it's just that when working on cases those kinds of things have to be shelved.
