About sending him to dragonhaven.

Dragons. What in Durin's name did you have to pick a game with DRAGONS in? Highly foolish. I cannot understand what made you send me there of all places. Never mind. I have my strength and honour at my back so I will fight if I have to. I will never give up Erebor nor the Arkenstone to any suspicious looking lizards.

I am looking forward to spending some time with Thorin though. Oh, and I have heard rumour that he has nephews that are there also. Nay, where does the time go? If it wasn't for Thorin there, I'd refuse to go. I do not have a choice though. [grumble. ihatedragonstheystink.]

I will prepare for this new dragon place then. Durin save me from this madness.

Who or what is Durin? My mun keeps reading that durian, like the fruit.

I thought you said you were a king on your planet?

[personal profile] gunslingerguy 2013-02-15 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Is your whole planet a series of monarchies?
gunslingerguy: (Whatever)

[personal profile] gunslingerguy 2013-02-16 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Planet means world. [Jaeris massages his temples, feeling a headache coming on.]

So it seems, master dwarf, that dragons are to be your doom as mine were jewels. I wish you joy in your reunion with your kin, and good fortune in war. May you come to better fortune than I

[ Bombur bows and then he wordlessly hands the King of Old a sticky bun from his plate. ]

poorfatbombur: (watching)

[personal profile] poorfatbombur 2013-02-16 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Uh oh, Bombur's a little shy about talking. But he can't be rude to the King and he'll anwser him. Very quietly for such a rotund dwarf. ]

...m'name's Bombur, yer Majesty, sir. [ And he pushes another sticky bun to him. ]
poorfatbombur: (spoon)

[personal profile] poorfatbombur 2013-02-16 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Bombur's chubby, freckled cheeks flush ever so slightly at those words of praise. He takes a bun himself and chews on it, just to calm his nerves. ]

A-aye. Thank ye, yer Majesty. [ He doesn't have the way with words his older brother has. The King has such a shiny beard, doesn't he? ]
poorfatbombur: (happy)

[personal profile] poorfatbombur 2013-02-16 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
'm a cook. Sometimes help me brother Bofur out in the mines. [ He fidgets shyly with his own rather impressive braided ginger beard. ]

Made those sticky buns ye just ate... I hope ye liked 'em, yer Majesty. [ Bombur smiles and realizes he never thought he'd ever get to speak with a King! Would Bofur even believe him if he told him he did? ]
poorfatbombur: (grabbing for food)

[personal profile] poorfatbombur 2013-02-16 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Bombur's definitely large, but all because he enjoys his food. He chuckles at the praise, unsure what to think of it. He's just a simple miner's son and nobody important. ]

Could make ye some of me stew, if ye'd like. T' lads always like me stew.
poorfatbombur: (always time for dinner)

[personal profile] poorfatbombur 2013-02-16 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Fili'n Kili... think ye be their grandsire. [ Bombur smiles, he has a large family of his own with a lovely, plump wife and no less than fourteen dwarflings. ]

They always like me stew'n heaps of it!
bow_of_the_galadhrim: (Smiling prince)

[personal profile] bow_of_the_galadhrim 2013-02-16 03:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[There's the slightest bow of the head from the prince.]

Dragons are a terrible foe, o king. I should hope that you'll find none in that place and that you and your grandson will find a great deal to speak of.
bow_of_the_galadhrim: (Noble Elven Prince)

[personal profile] bow_of_the_galadhrim 2013-02-16 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Aye, they do. I've lived long enough only to see one dragon wreak havoc upon the lands but I recall the tales of the many lives lost among my kin and others.

Nor do I.
bow_of_the_galadhrim: (Smiling prince)

[personal profile] bow_of_the_galadhrim 2013-02-16 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
A terrible way to take up a crown but, alas, that is the way of life.

[His father had taken up his crown after Oropher's death in the Battle of the Last Alliance, after all.]

Indeed, they do. And they are still honored among their kin who remain, I am sure.
bow_of_the_galadhrim: (Proud)

He's in two but I might be tempted to look at a third :3

[personal profile] bow_of_the_galadhrim 2013-02-16 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
And you met that challenge.

He is well although he is still distrusting of most outsiders to our forest.
bow_of_the_galadhrim: (Bow)

Well, elves are awesome! And ooh~?

[personal profile] bow_of_the_galadhrim 2013-02-16 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
We do. Great spiders dwell there now, orcs and goblins venture into the forest. We've had to increase the number of patrols that go into the forest each day. It keeps my kin and I busy.
bow_of_the_galadhrim: (Serious listening skills)

They do! :3 *wraps self around all the dwarves*

[personal profile] bow_of_the_galadhrim 2013-02-16 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
And they won't. We keep diligent to prevent them from spreading to far into the forest and keep them from leaving when we can.
bow_of_the_galadhrim: (Dazzle)

I hope he gets in!

[personal profile] bow_of_the_galadhrim 2013-02-24 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I've never doubted it. And what better allies to have than the dwarves. In fact, my closest friend and ally is a dwarf. Gimli, son of Gloin.
bow_of_the_galadhrim: (Admiration)

Re: so do I :)

[personal profile] bow_of_the_galadhrim 2013-02-24 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
By the time that I will be joining you, he is a fully grown dwarf and quite fearsome in battle.
bow_of_the_galadhrim: (We're not alone)

[personal profile] bow_of_the_galadhrim 2013-02-24 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yes, he does. In fact, it is his fathers axe that he makes use of.
mistergandalf: (grumpy)

[personal profile] mistergandalf 2013-02-16 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[Dori just isn't dressed for an audience with the King under the Mountain at all and to his horror he notices that his best shoes are the cobbler and he feels nauseous just looking at him in all his splendor... what would he think of him? He reaches for the smelling salts attached to a pouch on his belt with a trembling hand.]
mistergandalf: (happy moments)

I'm Bombur :D Decided to tag you as Dori as well

[personal profile] mistergandalf 2013-02-16 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[After mentally accepting that the King won't actually walk right past him, Dori offers him his mos forced pleasant smile.]

Well... I've ALWAYS hoped to meet you, Your Majesty. Although not in my least flattering pair of shoes.
mistergandalf: (mister gandalf)

FTW!

[personal profile] mistergandalf 2013-02-16 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Why yes, expensive dwarven shoes... although gone to pot since I've had them for over a decade. [Dori reaches up to pat his hair down.]

I am Dori son of who knows, brother of... known thief Nori? brother of Ori, me beloved younger brother.

mistergandalf: (grumpy)

YW :D

[personal profile] mistergandalf 2013-02-16 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[Wonders which part of his appearance screams 'miner', but he'll suspect either the shoes or his rather untidy eyebrows.]

Silk merchant, your Majesty. [Dori knits scarves and vests and the like and sells them at the market... about one percent of the thread he uses is silk. Close enough?]
mistergandalf: (sit down ori)

[personal profile] mistergandalf 2013-02-16 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
[It wouldn't be for Dori, not with all the dirt.]

Why, yes, and a talented scribe. He is still very young, of course, but remarkably well-read and he's got ever such neat handwriting.

sob hope this isn't too late

[personal profile] spiritoffire 2013-02-17 11:07 am (UTC)(link)
What is a Dragon?

[...]

What are you for that matter?

[The Secondborn? Surely not. /side-eyeing Ilúvatar now.]

you may change your mind about that, as he's sort of an ass. ;)

[personal profile] spiritoffire 2013-02-17 11:42 am (UTC)(link)
[DEAD. Since BEFORE the Moon arose OKAY? geez.]

I do not. Hence my asking. You are frightened of lizards? [Slightly incredulous smirk, there.]

Dwarf. Unfamiliar names and places.
