Even if it's snowy and cold, I really like where I am! I just wish my dad could be there...I've done some really cool things and learned a lot of songs, and new words!

I could teach him how to use the magic rock and how to talk to people with it and we could do the spider song, and my friends wouldn't have to hunt for me so much! I feel like a bother sometimes...but if he was there, he's supposed to take care of me! So it wouldn't be so bad!

[Though, Simba's not been as polite as he should be, pawing at the ground where he stands.] And I guess sometimes I need someone to tell me I'm not behaving.

It's hard to remember all your manners though!

[But it's not just his dad he's missing. He hasn't met many younger people around his age, and he can't exactly ignore the absence of his best friend and partner in crime either. Or his mother.]

I miss Nala too, mom and Scar!

He drops without warning a little bit in front of Simba, just distant enough to avoid a clawing if one was to come his way. And, in broke Feline:]

[Most humans Simba has met wore strange furs and things, but this man was rather without. So that's what a human looked like underneath all those layers!

The sudden appearance surprises him though, gasping and scampering away to hide behind something for the moment, poking his head out when he's sure he isn't being chased.] I'm not big enough!

[He has claws and teeth sure, but not enough power to kill something and far too clumsy to try. Big paws and a little cat, a mighty hunter does not make.] How come you're so bare? I thought humans wore lots of furs!

[He's hardly a typical physical specimen of course, but close enough. It's quite amusing to see the 'little cat' spooked by him though. It's usually the other way around. Once Simba is no longer hiding, Tarzan has an arm extended and gesturing towards himself a little, in a 'come on, I won't bite' manner.]

[That's his general answer to that sort of stuff.] Need to kill to get furs. I don't hunt either.

[ it's simba. oh, this is too purrfect. zira pads closer and gives the small cub a nudge. ] ...out here all alone, little one? tsk, This won't do. It's dangerous out here, and you can never be too sure what's lurking. [ sits beside simba, curling her tail around him. ] ...well, not matter, at least we have each other. I didn't think I would come across another lion here.

Are you a Faerie then? [That was a different kind of man right? He sure did have a lot to learn...but, he looked friendly enough. That and a future king should never be afraid! Well, sometimes they can be, but not now.

He puffs out his chest a little before pawing forward from his hiding spot and cocks his head to one side, ear flicking with interest.] You don't? How did you get so big then!

I thought humans had to eat meat too!

Well I'm not afraid of anything! I should be fine on my own. [Except really he won't be. He's got far too many friends around to take care of him. He just calls them his subjects so he doesn't feel too inadequate.

He gives the other lion a suspicious eyebrow raise though, not sure if he's ever seen her before and well...Lions from other prides aren't always the best to hang around with as a cub. Danger was omnipresent when outsider males came and you were a small cub, but a lioness can't be all that bad, right?]

Most things haven't ever seen talking lions before, so I guess I didn't expect you either! Maybe we should stick together...

It's not that I don't believe you, little one, but you're just a cub. What if something bigger, meaner, and stronger comes along? [ tilts her head. it's alright, simba, zira will look after you ~~or something. fufufufufu.~~ ]

[ no reason to be alarmed. she's not going to hurt you, ...yet. she has got something else in store for you, and this plan, she believes, is far more devious than the last one she'd crafted. smiles, nodding at him. ] I know. I have met man, too... but I agree. Us lions should stick together. It seems our numbers pale in comparison to theirs, and this could be problematic...

Then I'll roar at it! [Or tell his daddy, who isn't here, to make it go away.] Or, I guess you could chase it away...I bet you're real good at being scary!

[To him that is a really nice compliment.] I haven't met any that aren't nice yet...most of them really like me! What about you?

[Well. A magestic looking deer probably isn't quite what you were looking for, but-]

You must be strong. Your parents will not always be there for you, and you must learn to survive without them.

I'm strong! I just miss them.

And my dad say's he'll always be there. Just like the kings of the past.

There is no creature which can always be there to protect you. Everything has its season.

[Where Simba comes from there are only two seasons, so he doesn't quite get the wording.]

How do I know which season something is?

[This was perfectly clear wording to the Prince so he's a little thrown too. Maybe this little cat is younger than he thought it was.]

The passing of the year, and the changes it marks, divides time into its seasons, and lives come and pass in them. New will come in the place of the old. The world changes with the cycles of the sun.

When it falls his time ends, and rise with me as the new king!

[Children always do have a somewhat selective hearing. He understands about death, but of course his father is immortal in his eyes. All the knowledge in the would couldn't prepare him for his death, or that it was even possible for such a great and powerful lion to pass away.]

Why would anyone wanna hang out with a lion?
