And if that's not bad enough, a vampire? Are you INSANE? Erza and Natsu are going to tear the place apart when they find out you know that right?

A-anyway! Other than the basics, huh? Well right now things are relatively peaceful. We just came back from a mission to get someone elected in another time and place - I'm not sure what kind of effect it will have on our time in Exsilium though.

I kind of have a feelng that the people who are brought in resent the initiative- It's a little tense, but not so bad that there's a threat of infighting. (Yet.)

Well the more people from the guild the better - sort of. I mean it's bad we're stuck there, but if we're going to be stuck there, it's better to be stuck together, especially when we're out on missions.

We don't get our own apartment units when we're there - I don't see my own roommates that much, so I kind of wonder who you'll be assigned to stay with. Hopefully not anyone bad. [ Ffh, Juvia is so Graycentric it's scary XD But she'd be weird otherwise - like the Juvia in Edolas @.@ ]

Yeah, it's kind of normal for members of the Justice League. We may be a world-wide organization that has saved the world dozens of times, but there are still people that would use our personal info to go after our loved ones, so... yeah.

The whole cape-and-cowl thing is pretty standard.

That's terrible. I'm not sure what I would do if people went after the people I cared about like that. [ No, that's a lie - she'd do everything she could to keep them safe. But wearing an outfit to conceal her identity? That seemed like something that would be right up Natsu's alley. Him and his Dark Lord Dragneel get up. Fft. ]

Fairy Tail's helped take down a lot of dark guilds in our time too - most everyone in Fairy Tail has magic to protect themselves though.

But when I think about it - someone from a rival guild did target our friends daughter during a tournament battle I was in with her, once. That kind of underhanded thing - it's really the worst.

[Dick sees that look, and decides it's time for a bit of a speech.]

No... gunning down a pair of trapeze artists during a performance in front of their son just because they refused to pay protection money to some sleezeball that claimed to own the city... that's the worst.

But, you know what? That is why things like the Justice League and your guild exist. Just about everyone in the League has a story like that. Orphans of a dead planet, victims of circumstance, test subjects, you name it. But we come together in one singular purpose: to keep that from happening to anyone else.

After I lost my parents, I was taken in by a guy who inherited enough money to live comfortably on for lifetimes and still throw money away like it was nothing. His parents were killed in a mugging. He dedicated his life to making sure there were as few orphans as possible. ...I'm proud to call that man father now. But he also said the outfit was symbolic.

As people, we have limits, I have limits. As Nightwing? I can be in every shadow, lurking behind every corner. I have no limits as Nightwing because I am no longer just a person, but a symbol of what happens to people who prey on the weak. Criminals are a cowardly and superstitious lot, and that is my greatest weapon.

There will always be people who will stop at nothing to get their own way, regardless of who they step on to get it. But, because there is still good in the world worth fighting for, there will always be people like us, looking out for those who can't look out for themselves.

Where you come from - it sounds like a pretty dangerous place. But I'm glad you have people that help protect the innocent. In a perfect world, we wouldn't have criminals and villains that want to sow anarchy and chaos and things like that.

[ But then there would be no balance in the world - light and darkness, it all went hand in hand, didn't it. ]
