on birthdays Japan can't remember

The thing simply is that I've had so many birthdays over the years that it's hard to remember when it's coming up again... and they can become tiresome when others are more eager to get me to celebrate it than I am. It's even hard for me to remember all that happened during some previous birthdays.

I guess this must be what they mean when they say that you should never have too much of a good thing, huh… but it's also kind of inevitable when you've got lifespans like ours. Thank goodness I've still got a ways to go until I reach that point!
