on birthdays Japan can't remember
I do not believe it is necessary to mention my upcoming birthday. I can remember it just fine when I prefer to.
[ Except you don't often prefer to. ]
That is beside the point. Meanwhile, I will try and spend my birthday peacefully.
[ But isn't that boring -- ]
It is hardly so. I've said before that I can't keep up with young people...

[ that was totally not a blatant advertisement to promote tourism at her place she just pulled, nope, not at all. ]

Whether that home be my country itself, or in Atia or Holly Heights.
[ sigh. Why is he still in those two places again? ]
But I thank you for the offer.
I simply do not care to be pulled into birthday celebrations I do not want...

...I will keep that in mind.
The thing simply is that I've had so many birthdays over the years that it's hard to remember when it's coming up again... and they can become tiresome when others are more eager to get me to celebrate it than I am. It's even hard for me to remember all that happened during some previous birthdays.
[ not to mention his actual age.... ]

I guess this must be what they mean when they say that you should never have too much of a good thing, huh… but it's also kind of inevitable when you've got lifespans like ours. Thank goodness I've still got a ways to go until I reach that point!

[ hmm.... ]
-- You do have... quite a long way to go.
[ from what it seems like anyway ]
Most nations often seem to forget I am one of the oldest along with China...

[ seychelles shakes her head in disappointment and sighs - she knows all too well how frustrating it is to be treated younger than you actually are. ]

[ curious at the sigh.... ]
You seem like you can relate.
[ despite the topic, the other nations are all so young compared to him he doesn't always notice when they also dislike being treated as young. Though he can understand their views, of course. ]

[ but then again, this is Italy they're talking about. ]
Y-Yeah. I know they only want the best for me, but sometimes England and France coddle me a little too much, y'know? I swear it's like they think I'm totally incapable of handling myself whenever that happens. [ she huffs. she is a mature adult, okok ]

[ sigh. Italy, why are you so confusing. ]
...and Seychelles-san is likely not incapable, but perhaps England-san and France-san are merely being -- over-protective.
[ or at least France, anyway. ]

[ the world may never know. ]
You think so? [ intrigued, seychelles begins to stroke her chin. japan may be onto something there. ] It almost sounds like you're speaking from experience…
