...I really, really don't mean to be rude, but this username is awful. Why would you even do that?

And where are you going to put me? I was in one episode. That's... not enough, I don't think.

I think I'll be alright. I just don't know where my mun could put me. But it would be nice to get away from the foster care system for a while. I'd like to be somewhere for more than a few months, you know?

I'd suggest somewhere like

ink_city, then at least you'd be stuck there for a while...

But hey, I know some pretty nice people who would probably take you in. I mean they took me in for goodness sake.

Oh. I'm sorry. My name is Macaria but everybody calls me Macy. Macy West. It's really nice to meet you, Saft.

[Saft just smiles and tucks one of her bangs behind her ear.]

So Macy, What's your world like? I mean if you're going to come to Ink City I figure I should give you fair warning if you're used to things being kinda plain and ordinary it might be a little different than anything you're used to.

We have giant robots, dragons, talking lions... pretty much everything!

It's... um. I guess it's normal. Superheroes and robots and the moon colony issues on the news, just normal stuff. I don't think we have many giant robots, though. After the European Cold War everybody agreed robots shouldn't be used so much. And the Declaration of Human Rights would probably have said something if there were talking animals somewhere.

Well some of the robots are okay and some off them are real jerks....

But as long as you stay close to me or Crmsn or even Optimus I think you'd be okay. [She gives another smile.] I think you'd get along really well with my friend Finn, He's a little older than you.

I've met a really nice one. But some did some bad things where I'm from. So I guess it just depends, like with humans. It's okay. It makes sense, really.

I play with older kids and younger kids a lot. So it's okay if all your friends are older. I mean, so long as they're nice, it doesn't matter. I just wonder where I'd stay... I have nightmares. And... I get freaked out sometimes. My mun says my canon shows me having the signs of something called 'PTSD' if that means anything to you.

You know something...?

I think I know just the person you could stay with. He's living all on his own now and it's not too far away from where I live either so we could both keep an eye on you.

I think it'd do him some good to have some company around and my mun seems to think he'd leap at the chance to give a nice kid like you a decent home where nothing bad would happen to you.

Oh. Well, if he's alright with it. I wouldn't want to be at someone's house if they didn't want company. That would be really awkward for both of us. I just hope he doesn't mind if I scream when I have nightmares... I don't mean to and I promise I'll try to stop.

I still have nightmares too.

And they're nightmares about something that happened a long, long time ago but you see, I'm still here. And you are too.

Whatever happened back then - it can't hurt you again because it's already happened. You survived it and I bet you can do it again...

[She pets the girl's head.]

...help didn't arrive for days. I was trapped inside a building that had mostly collapsed. Things kept falling. There was broken glass everywhere. I'm afraid of mirrors and blood and the dark.

I hope you're right. Things just haven't been easy for a while. Some days I just feel tired.

How old are you anyway?

I'm nine.

I'm eighteen, so nine years apart just about.

Where I'm from I'm still considered a baby though so heh, You could still be older than me Macy.

Why would that be baby age?

Well remember when I mentioned there were dragons in Ink City?

...[She shrugs] I'm actually one of them.

Not at all.

It's kind of a form of magic, People want to hunt dragons because they think we're evil or something so we found it easier just to blend in with humans and live with them this way.

That's awful! Why would anyone think you're evil? I mean, maybe one or two of you might be, but that goes for everybody.

Because people judge things they don't understand...

[Ugh, it's a major pain.]

I mean I'm not saying dragons can't be completely evil, But we're not really any different to regular human beings. I'm actually surprised you're taking this whole me being a dragon thing really well.

...I can't say much, but. Someone in my family is metahuman. It's about the same reaction for people back home to people who are meta. So I understand. It's okay. You're still you. Just you with a different look and a few abilities. You're still a person.
