Like with roses... a red rose means "true love", while a pink one means "friendship".

Well... White usually means "pure love" or simply "purity", so it's usually used for weddings... Yellow means "jealousy".
... Which I'm sure is of no surprise to you.
Orange roses usually mean "enthusiasm", or "happiness"! [and desire but hello nine year old]
Purple roses mean "love at first sight", and the last... black roses. They're very, very rare! But they mean "end of a relationship"... they're quite sad, really.
