You-- you can't.
[Shoulders slumping as he heaves a long suffering sigh, looking very tired and not at all agreeable to what his writer has been up to and pondering as of late.]
Look. I'm not... I'm not a warrior, at best I can swing my sword around and there have been times where I've been lucky enough to save my own hide, and the hides of others. But that is another thing entirely. I am a hobbit, we are not made for wars! You can argue all you like that I said the same thing concerning adventures, yet that is not the same thing... there is strength in numbers. With them I feel safe.
[Hesitating then, feeling unsure.]
Where you wish to send me I am alone, and what can I possibly hope to achieve by myself? Training? For what.
You have others you can send, ones better suited for- for war, of all things. Just keep me out of it, I don't want any battles or that nonsense. I just want to make it back in one piece, if that's at all possible. Thank you.

Oh... ah. Well. Thank you very kindly. For that. [He's finding the spots where his buttons once were to be very interesting now, picking at the loose threads.]
And it's all... well and good, I suppose. War always means losing something dear, and I don't think I can do that.

Did you loose your buttons during the Goblin fight?

[He stays silent about how he knows his last name, so he answers the rest of the sentence]
From where I am, it's polite to add a honorific to a person's last name.

[...Which is easy to say, being a rather large Pandaren, both in height and weight.]

Those... are wise words, and they ring true. I, ah... will keep them in mind, thank you.

But most of all, relax and enjoy your trip.
[He moves to sit next to the Hobbit, lifting a large keg onto his shoulder as he does.]
Might I interest you in a drink?
..AH. Please do!
[Frodo is of the mind that here is a hobbit that could not possibly look anymore exhausted at the idea. And for a hobbit, it has to be a terrible idea: an adventure, within an adventure not even quite finished. He tries to be encouraging]
You won't find yourself alone. They may not be the dwarves you are used to, but there are elves, and Men, and Pippin and Sam. Though I expect you won't know those two yet.
