Now this... is interesting, Mun.

You know as good as I do that I'm not the type to stick around unless something holds my interest.

Yet, here I am... and here you are, too. Maybe the feeling's mutual.

I wonder, though, what you're planning to do about it. Otherwise, it looks like I'll be setting up camp here for a while until you figure it out.

Don't say it that way. What "we've been through together" was mostly the fault of your friend.

Consideration isn't one of Tsukasa's strong points. I'd make a bet that it isn't one of your captain's either.

I figured you'd say as much. I wonder though... why wasn't it you trying to stop me? With all the animosity you had toward me, I'd have thought you'd be first in line. You were the one that said if there was an opening...

[stops, and just stares for a moment before looking off. Why would you bring that up...]

[holding his head with a hand, somewhat resigned] I probably would have done it too.

[There's a long pause, and he just looks at the pirate. Blinks once, then lets out a long breath, looking away.]

Is that suppose to be comforting? [speaking calmly, not looking at the the rider either]

Comforting? Hardly. [Snicker.] Seems like the only difference between you and me is that thing called "loyalty"... a trait you seem to have quite an abundance of.

Oh, I know I haven't screwed things up completely to not have a place to go. That is, if I get lonely, as you say. Which is highly unlikely.

Treasure isn't just the material. Come on, you should know that. You are a pirate, aren't you? [He settles for a short pause as a laugh.] You should know, though, the reason I steal is because treasures are irreplaceable, and they need to be protected.

And before you think my "place to go" is waiting... I know they're not. I just know where to find them.

Being a pirate means nothing. Treasure has no importance to me. [He's just not going to address that first statement because Daiki's a jerk... as he expected.]

Because you have nothing "irreplaceable" for your own, you must steal what's important to someone else?

[He doesn't have to address the statement. Daiki knows he's right. So he's going to continue to look at Joe with that smug expression.]

I never said that I don't have anything irreplaceable. [He looks away. Daiki really doesn't have a good answer to the question, or one that he's willing to share. He's just a compulsive kleptomaniac. Because of Reasons.] Most people don't know an object's importance until it's gone. I just make them realize that. I call it a service.
