Bewildered, child? I would expect as much from a newcomer to the south.

[Leaning back on a plush chair, he seems more than a little bored by the query posed to him. Littlefinger always has other matters to attend to. "Small matters" as the king would call them but matters nonetheless. Knives must find their way into the right hands and blades must graze the right throats. Gold must drip here and run dry there. Words can't be wielded callously lest the wrong people end up bleeding before their time. It's not out of care that he concerns himself with such trivialities. He just happens to be a great admirer of perfect synchronicity between thought, time, and action. It's the ideal condition for setting things in motion.]

So what exactly is the nature of this dilemma of yours? Don't dally. Time slips through our fingers as swiftly as golden dragons pour from the hands of any "honorable" knight at a brothel. Make your choice. Do you prefer your knowledge glistening on the page or sung on the stage? The difference matters little to me.

So Baelish, Is pimping easy?

Tell me, Lord Baelish, do you make it a point to be this singularly unpleasant to everyone? He or she is attempting to be your mundane. I would think you would be a little more pleased to be out of the headspace and doing things.

So to recap: Pimping Ain't Easy. =D

I suppose that's fair enough, in it's own twisted way. Still one would think that there's a bit to be gained by niceties. People move more easily for coin if they like from where it flows.

... good gods, I'm offering you advice, aren't I?

You'll get no argument on the desire to impress. I'm just making an argument for a little more tact in this.

[personal profile] willas_tyrell 2013-01-20 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)
And in your line of work, playing the 'game of thrones' and all that nonsense, you must go through oceans of the stuff.

[personal profile] willas_tyrell 2013-01-20 02:37 pm (UTC)(link)
It is impressive, I admit. Although not exactly a standard I would aspire to. Unlike you or the others of King's Landing, I've not taste for this contest. I'm content with my books, hawks, and horses.

[It is probably a good thing for those in King's Landing. Willas is loved by his family's subjects, heir to the Highgarden, and widely regarded as something of a genius and competent leader in his own right.]

Indeed there is.

[After his leg was crippled, reading became most of what Willas does on a day to day basis.]

So is gold, and yet many are completely enthralled by it.

[He chuckles, nodding his agreement]

Alright, fair enough. Nonetheless, I enjoy my horses and hawks. Shit and all. And I'm sure you would too, should you see my latest project. A cross between Dothraki warhorses and Northern drafts, none other in the world like them, nor equal to them.

I might be so inclined. I've only three old enough at the moment, and they're for stock and my personal use. However, two more foals should be ready in say ... two months.

[personal profile] willas_tyrell 2013-01-20 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sure one could be.

[Although there is an slight annoyance at the idea of his greatest work as a breeder becoming the personal steed of 'King' Joffrey. However, that is well hidden.]

I'll be sure to send one.

He's taken to shooting ravens now, has he?

[personal profile] willas_tyrell 2013-01-20 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Well they are clever creatures.

[As clever as the king is violent and stupid.]

[Although on the topic of Sansa, he wouldn't mind learning something, especially since Grandmother seems fixed to marry Willas to her.]

[personal profile] willas_tyrell 2013-01-20 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, cleverness has a tendency to breed hubris. That overconfidence can bring down anyone, no matter how brilliant they are.

[personal profile] willas_tyrell 2013-01-20 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[Willas quirks an eyebrow]

I suppose whether or not they are fools depends on their plans.
