Cabin Pressure - Indecisive Mun
My dear Miss Writer, While I can appreciate the fact that you would like to play all of us from MJN Air, it quite defeats the purpose of how this entire "RP" works...
[Arthur Interrupts.] But Mum, I think it's a brilliant idea.
[And Douglas simply must get in on the action.] Yes, Arthur and what did you think of polar bears?
[Arthur grins.] BRILLIANT!
[Douglas continues.] And that Christmas we spent on the plane?
Brilliant!
And the Northern Lights that ended up not being the Northern Lights?
[Arthur thinks for a minute, starting to think Douglas is tricking him] Bril--liant?
[Douglas nods and says flatly.] I rest my case.
[Carolyn clears her throat.] AS I was saying. You should really simply make up your mind and pick one of us to play. And since I am the owner of this airline, it would only be right if you were to pick me as the primary character for this... this.... idea you have.
[Douglas smiles calmly.] Oh yes, she could pick you. But why would she do that when she could have me - someone who actually has something to do with the flying of the aeroplane.
[Arthur can't bare to not comment as he looks around.] Wait a minute - where's the Skipper?
[Douglas gestures to all the other "Martins" on the site.] Take your pick, Arthur.
[Carolyn rolls her eyes.] Will you two shut-UP I was having a perfectly polite conversation with the Writer before you all started to butt in!
[Douglas' tone suggest he's not sorry at all.] Oh, I am so very sorry, Carolyn. It's hardly my fault that I'm stuck up here with the two of you! Though we should be grateful there are so many other Martins about. Can you imagine the three of us trying to fit up here with the size of his massive ego?
[Carolyn chuckles and Arthur looks a bit lost without Martin.] But the Skipper, he's the Pilot.
[Douglas rolls his eyes.] As he will waste no time informing everyone. Look, Writer, you do what you like, we will find a way to make do...
((OOC: If you want to talk to all three, fine, if not, please specify. Anything to help me decide!))

Respond with whoever you're feelin'. I'll play along.
You might end up with all three - sorry?
Oh, look who it is! Well, now that everyone is here, I suppose that handle really is appropriate.
[Carolyn looks over at Martin then out in the vast - very vast indeed, emptiness of the Writer's memory.]
Well, you're not the only you she's encountered.

[But oh, wait. It dawns on him that Douglas might have been (though perhaps subtly and inadvertently) paying him a compliment. He perks up a bit, but doesn't say anything just yet. He'd probably only spoil it if he did.]
Or Sherlock Holmeses, for that matter. And he's even got my face.
no subject
[Arthur however pulls a very confused face.] Skipper. How can he have your face? I mean after all, you've got your face. I can see it right there in front of me, so how can Sherlock Holmeses have it?
[Carolyn pipes in, amused for once.] Yes, Martin, how can Sherlock have your face?

[Too late, Douglas caught that look, Martin.] And how is that turning out for you? Do you ever get confused and call him "Martin" or refer to yourself as "Sherlock"?
[Carolyn clamps a hand over Arthur's mouth to keep him from talking.]

[He's trying to keep it light while also sounding final, because he can feel a teasing session coming on and it'd be better to head that off at the pass. If he can.]
This is soooo not helping me to decide :/
[At that Carolyn starts to giggle as well.]
I'm having a ball, though!
[Change of topic, that'll help. And flattering Carolyn rarely hurts things. Much.]
I shall accept that as the compliment it is and carry on, then XD
[Because he only compliments her when he wants something.]
[Douglas' tone is calm, almost menacing, but not quite.] I think he would like us to stop talking about Sherlock.
[Arthur pipes in.] Oh, oh, oh! I just thought of something!
[Douglas interjects.] No you didn't.
[Arthur argues.] I did! See wouldn't it be funny if Sherlock Holmeses and Sherlock Holmes met each other in real life?
[Oh, the poor boy is so proud of himself for that one...]

And then it's back to Carolyn.]
I only meant that I haven't seen you around an awful lot. It - seems like the writers don't pick you up all that often.
no subject
[She might sound put-out by Martin's comment. Douglas is watching the exchange with great interest and Arthur with almost trepidation.]

[Now it is Carolyn's turn to look interested and Arthur just looks confused.]

[Douglas waits patiently while Arthur exhausts the very minor limits of his intelligence.] No. I was thinking that it might help the Writer to settle on one of us, if there were several others to.... interact with.
[Carolyn can't help but observe.] While, that is a very wise point, Douglas. But, isn't that precisely what a club is?
[Douglas pauses in thought.] Oh yes, of course. Never mind all of this. Yes, Martin, we want for form a club.
no subject
['Scuse him while his mun gets the information from his previous threads.
...oh, that was it. Now it's Martin's turn to look amused.]
Ah. Right.
no subject
[Douglas, doesn't like how Martin said that last part.] What?
[Martin amused is never a good thing - for any of them.]
no subject
I mean, really, Douglas?
no subject
[Douglas simply rolls his eyes.] I thought you said you wouldn't talk about that again!
