Still canon-reviewing...
I see you're getting restless. Well, so am I. How much longer is this review of yours going to take? There are things I want to do, you know. How long has it been since I've had a proper hunt or killed a Kraut? A good old-fashioned fight will even do at this point.
[Because while he doesn't crave conflict for the sake of conflict, if he were in his true environment there would be vampires that needed to be put down and Nazis that needed their detestable existence to be put to an end. He wants to stay in top shape if he can help it.]

no subject
[Welp, why am I still awake?]
no subject
[I don't know, but if you live in America it is advisable that you go to sleep. Unless you have night classes or a night job, in which it is fine.]
no subject
[ Really it's fairly simple. ]
no subject
They do. I'd be more grateful if it didn't take so bloody long.
How are you holding up where you got shipped off to?
no subject
[ There's an irritated curl of his lips. That might be answer enough. ]
This city is disgusting.
no subject
If you say so it must be. Did they tie your hands? I hear it's customary in those setups.
no subject
A mechanism for not only restricting our power but also to render us unconscious should we not play nice.
[ Which he never does, and doesn't plan on anytime soon. ]
no subject
[Well, the vampire DOES tend to sleep like a rock at times. But to think that someone would be capable of just knocking him out at will is rather disconcerting.]
no subject
[ Oh snap. From that tone it sounds like it's happened already.
And he did not like it. ]
I'd rather be killing Nazis.
no subject
I'd rather we be out killing Nazis.
no subject
[ Unless he manages to find a way to obliterate the place before they can knock him out. That is always an option. ]
At least a few of residents are entertaining.
no subject
[And he would be absolutely fine with that place falling to its destruction.]
Have they taken away your gun?
no subject
[ It at least kept utter boredom at bay. ]
A gun does one little good without bullets. [ And letting him keep it without any is an insult. ] Of course their attempts at tampering with my mind are as equally annoying.
no subject
[The idea that his partner could be so vulnerable entirely blows his mind. Hopefully it's a misunderstanding on his part-- but with these games and their rules, who could ever tell?]
no subject
[ He feels the need to clarify this. They could try; they might even be temporarily successful, but changing five plus centuries is much harder. ]
For most yes, they can and do with disturbing frequency, and people think the Major is a deranged individual.
no subject
[He takes offense to the fat man for having the gall to suggest he switch sides, okay? In his mind, they all deserve to burn. Slowly. Painfully.]
I'm glad those bastards haven't changed you, though.
no subject
It almost sounds like you doubted, Angel.
[ He's not mad, but definitely amused. Besides this conversation is better than what he'll have to endure when the mundane gets to 'game tagging'. ]
no subject
[Clearly he needs to introduce the vampire to the concept of Molotov cocktails.]
no subject
[ Maybe once he gets over these annoying power restrictions. ]
no subject
That long? I know you can do better than that.
no subject
[ He did, after all destroy two armies in less than a night. ]
I've been assured that I will get my pound or several of flesh.
[ Ahhh there's a happy face. ]
no subject
[Walter takes threats to his virginity very seriously.]
no subject
[ His lip twitches. Yes he finds Walter's seriousness over this amusing. ]
I might even pity the person who tried.
no subject
[He isn't a mind reader; clairification is needed in this case.]
no subject
[ Have an arched brow. Really he had to spell that out? Although maybe it's understandable. ]
Almost pity, but the fallout would still be entertaining.
[ After all Walter's gloves didn't require ammunition - hmm maybe Alucard should have asked to borrow them before getting shipped off. ]
no subject
Really. No concern for my well-being at all? I should be offended.
[He doesn't sound incredibly offended. More amused because he has utmost faith in being able to handle himself in such a situation like that. But that doesn't mean he can't needle his partner just a bit.]
no subject
[ Alucard certainly wasn't above taking a few digs of his own, especially when he wasn't entirely serious. ]
no subject
[Statement? Challenge? Temptation? It could be any of the above-- or more likely, all three combined. He really has been restless lately.]
no subject
[ He chuckles low with a tilt of his head. He can appreciate the inanity of that particular state. ]
At your convenience, Angel.
no subject
[Walter is not only bored; he's feeling particularly bold, too-- bold enough to step forward, closing the distance between them until he was virtually looming within the vampire's space.]
Shall we...?
/yawn/ good morning
We shall.
[ The only warning before Alucard reaches out, intent on snagging his partner by the front of his clothes. ]
Good morning! I just stayed up all night translating Japanese. I have no life.
His grin is wide; manic as he moves in effort to widen the space between them once again. Eyes open and dancing with mischief and delight, he feels much like a kitten at play.
This is just what he needed.]
Let's see if you're still as fast as I remember!!
You are a far more dedicated person than I :')
Just like that the vampire's expression changed and twisted into the fiercest of joy. This is what he lived for. A mirror of his partner's expression even when the wires sever his hand. ]
This dance was - [ The vampire shoots forward, weaving around the tightened net of strings. ] - the dance of death. [Voice echoing darkly, his severed appendage liquefies. ] They danced it for the wretched - [ Dark blood races towards the vampire darting as partner, eyes keen for the merest flick of Walter's wrists. ] - of the earth, that they might witness - [ Gloved fingers curl into a fist right before it hurtles towards Walter's chest. ] - their own wretchedness .
[ Well someone's been wandering the library again. ]
I am a research fiend. It's like a compulsion.
The fist scrapes along his chest, from the sternum to the muscle over his heart before the angle is steep enough to break the contact. His tie has been rendered askew, two buttons of his shirt torn from their anchoring threads. It hurts-- and it's definitely going to leave a nasty bruise, but at least he's still on his feet.
The wires of his right hand close in, and he joins them from the reverse direction with the loosing of the filaments from his left; a net greatly improved over the reactionary movement from just before.]
Damn it, I have gotten rusty!!
Gah - slow Kate is slow DX
Yet he knows Walter's ploy; a net through which the vampire's size becomes a massive liability. He can move around it, dissolve his body and become shadow and mist, but where in that is the fun at all? So instead his hands tangle in the ones closest and the vampire sets about pulling them apart. The filaments bite through the glove and into hands, leaving trails of blood in their wake. ]
Are you getting soft, Angel?
[ He taunts even as he's seeking to move through the wires and straight at Walter again. He cares little if Walter manages to cut him apart before the No Life King can cross the distance. ]
I'd say it's more like perfect timing!
But he doesn't just cut through. No, just simply cleaving through the vampire's hands or arms would do little more than remove the barrier between them. Furthermore, it would be a repeat of his initial action, and doing the same thing over and over just wouldn't cut it in this situation. He wanted more. The provocation brings so many replies to mind, but as his fingers twitch to snake the wires that can loose up to his partner's neck nothing seems more adequate or more appropriate a testament to his resolve than to cut off the vampire's head.]
And just what is that supposed to mean?
I'll take it!
He doesn't stop even though he knows what Walter means to do. Alucard never does.
However he does draw the heavy Casull, a glint silver right before he's shooting at the wires holding his neck in the web Walter wove. No he doesn't care if the youth cuts off his head, or his hands, or arms. They'll come back. However, he has to keep the Angel on his toes. ]
It means my head is still attached.
By the way, if you have any questions about how I write the 'wires', don't hesitate to ask!
Besides, as he sees it, the vampire is practically begging him to cut off his head; goading the butler, pressing into the sharp filaments even as he shoots at them. It rings as a taunt; a challenge, one might say, perhaps to see if he had the balls to go through with it.
Without hesitation, Walter applies tension, and pulls.]
Is it?
I will!
Oh he knew the Angel could and would, Alucard just had to push him enough to get there. ]
