What kind of stories do you have about golden dragons? The ones I've met are decent beings, as long as you show them the proper respect.

Metallic dragons on my world kill draconians because we were supposed to be dragons as well. Their eggs were stolen and warped with magic to make us.

Wouldn't it be logical to kill the creators rather than you guys?

They consider us to be perversions. We also fought on opposite sides of a war, and followed opposing gods.

Well, the males did. I and the other females didn't hatch until decades after that war had ended.

Huh. Suppose that'd do it for getting them all ticked off enough to want to kill you guys...

Their main reason is the former rather than the latter.

I've never actually met a dragon before, or even seen one in anything but pictures and my dreams.

They're pretty intimidating, even when they're not trying to kill you, what with the enormous size and all.

You said there were golds on your world. Are there other types of dragons, too?

[Lina nods.] Gold and black are common, along with water-dwelling ones. A lot of Gods and Monsters have dragon-like forms, too.
