Nods and tilts head to the side slightly, the curious look suggesting perhaps that she is hoping for a name from the creature, or something about herself.]

Nice to meet you, the name is Isha. I'm a Tailmon and a detective.

[Tips her fedora, she also happens to be wearing a little trench coat. She's only about as tall as Lying Cat Even though she walks on two legs.]

Ears perk at the sound of paper fluttering above. A note settles on the ground in front of them, face up. It reads:

"This is Lying Cat. She's the sidekick of a Freelancer. She can tell when you're lying or telling half-truths. Try it out! It's fun! She'll love it!

Looks up after reading the note with a somewhat more sour look on her face.]

Well at least they gave you an introduction.

That's alright I'm not gonna play dance monkey dance. But that lie detector bit would be a handy skill in my field. Is it a genetic thing or is it something you learned?

I totally get it. I have a few skills from my species as well. You play with the hand you're dealt so they say. From what little I've seen of you in the first volume of those books you do your Kin proud.

Heh, don't be so sure. I did once, but that was a long time ago. These days the only point of pride I still hang onto is my ability to please in the bedroom. [snicker]
