I don't wanna' go anywhere. What would I do in other places, anyway, huh? I'm only good for what the old man wants me to be good for, and we both know what that is. Besides, he'll be pissed if I disappear, and as long as I'm good and work hard, it's not so bad there. Better than being a dead dog like I was before, anyway.

Besides, you don't really know enough about my life right now to seriously think about it. So let's just scrap this and you can keep playing with older-me. Okay?

Everything is better than being dead or a dog. Doesn't necessarily make certain things right. Good thing you've got some spunk, kid, but if I get my hands on that guy he might just check out early.

( don't mind him, he's lucifer and people blame him for these things all the time and as it happens he's ... a pretty okay guy. )

he huffs, squaring his shoulders again, blowing a few long strands of hair out of his face. ]

( he lights a cigarette, calming the hatred that has just filled him. humans are such despicable creatures. )

And it's not like I can blend in with all this yellow hair. [ he tugs it, then drops it, lifting a demanding hand. ] .. Let me have a drag of that.

Yellow hair isn't too common, well, anywhere really. You have a Japanese name though so I'm guessing you're from the country of the sun.

That's where I grew up, anyway. Probably the gang killed my real parents. [ he takes a drag, breathing out through his nose. ] .. Why can't you get out, huh? You said you know what it's like.

Charming. ( he simply lits another cigarette. after all, he's got a lot of them. )

Oh I got out. Sort of. Out of one cage into another one, one might say but at least I'm free to spread my wings now.

( dry laugh as he almost chokes a little on the smoke. )

One could say that, yes. He decided who I had to be and when I followed his order he thanked me by trapping me into a artifact. Not much space for your wings then, see?

[ he shrugs. ] I've heard weirder stuff, so why wouldn't I believe it?

[ he leans in, peering more closely. ]

I chose a fate that was supposed to be even worse. However, so far I'm kind of enjoying it.

[ he laughs a little, dropping the cigarette butt and stubbing it out with one slipper-clad foot. ] Yeah, I guess there are worse things than being human. And if you have a normal life, you get to do great stuff, sometimes.
