I don't really even understand this stuff, so can you please stop involving me in it? You have a ton of those "tags" you enjoy so much waiting for you, even a few from Masaomi!

So why is it that instead of doing anything, you're refreshing the page over and over to see if applications are being approved yet?

It's not like I want to go to that place anyway; it sounds really boring. And this excitement is making me rather nervous.

Not only that, but you've only written me in a total of two threads, and you're already going on about how I'm such a "strong muse" for you? I really think it's time that you settle down some; it's not that I dislike you exactly, but my life is complicated enough already without you in it.

[When he responds, it doesn't come out angry or offended or amused. None of the reactions he'd normally show Masoami when his friend is being ridiculous or terrible.

Hmm? [Confusion, and only that. Masaomi doesn't feel insulted, as most people probably would by a statement like that. He's Masaomi, after all; it takes a lot to even put a scratch on him - literally or figuratively.]

What's that supposed to mean? [There's an attempted laugh in the words, but it doesn't quite come through.] I don't want you to be weak.

I -... [Well... He never really thought about that.] Yes, of course! [So why does that make him feel sort of empty?]

[Hey, no fair! Don't go all role-reversal on him when he's just barely started thinking about their respective roles. Your hand gets an unimpressed look before it's swatted away.]

I'll get stronger anyway though. You wait and see. I have to keep up with you.

[He's trying to make it light again. Will it work? Maybe not, because now it just made him think that he really is quite afraid of being left behind by his friend.]

[And really he starts to go with 'kick your ass' but then he thinks of something even funnier.]

[Masaomi stares. And stares. And then he bursts out in uncontrollable laughter, doubling over - and immediately throwing an arm around Mikado's neck, leaning on him quite heavily, as if he needs the support to keep himself up.]

Seriously?! Prettiness aside - when has a girl you don't know not run off at the sight of you?

Well you don't have to say it like that!

[But of course he's laughing too. Laughing is so much better than thinking about what had been said before.]

And it's not like you have any success!

What are you talking about? I do a lot better with girls than you!

[Of course, the look on Mikado's face is entirely innocent. But...]

You know, I can't actually think of a time I've seen you successfully pick one up...

Well, there's no point if you're there, and you're not getting one!

[Oh, but now he's curious - and yet, as much as he's wondering what Mikado might think, Masaomi immediately fills in the blanks himself. The slightest pause is followed by the biggest grin - and off he goes.]

I wander around town as a famous spy, defeating yakuza punks with a girl in each arm!

[Yeeeaaaah, the girls were bound to pop up again.]

I think it goes more like... you get slapped a lot.

[He'll just skip away a little as he says it.]

[KIDA POUNCE~!]

[And here's Mikado, falling to the ground. He tries to wrestle Kida around under him, but it's a rather flaily attempt.]

See, you can't prove me wrong so you distract me!

[kida]

[All the rolling around. All of it. And then a headlock.]

[Except there's no actual slapping. Just noogies. Enjoy!]

[Of course, the threat might hold more power if he wasn't flailing around like mad while making it.

Oh but hey, the flailing manages to cause a nice little jab to Masaomi's ribs with an elbow.]
