And then there was nostalgia
Well, this is a pleasant surprise. And here I thought I would forever be stuck watching from the sidelines. Oh, I know you have plans for me, Mun. Not terribly grand, and quite probably with their own share of irritations, but you never were terribly good at planning very far in advance.
Still, wherever it is you do end up taking me - and I know you can't resist taking me to one of your "games" - it should prove to at least be far from boring. I'm even in a good enough mood that I'll let the pun you chose for my journal name to slide.
[That, and he's relieved that he didn't end up with a magical girl pun as a journal name.]

Wow and here I was wondering what I was doing up at this hour
Uh, yeah, I'd say it's a mega-surprise! Ghaleon?! I thought for sure I'd seen the last of your mug!
The same thing I am, apparently
Hm? I assume you must be from the future. The "sequel", if my mun is to be believed.
There are worse ways to cope with insomnia
Wait, you're from the past? ... uh... give me a reference point, would you? Like, before or after the fall of Vane?

Mun was so kind as to have taken me from after my heart stopped beating.

Ouch. Well, I have good news! You get better! I mean... sort of.
Anyway, I guess I have to introduce myself, right? My name is Lemina Ausa, the newest Premier of the Magic Guild of Vane!
[How far the Guild has fallen.]

Charmed.
[He's still in a good enough mood to refrain from a slow clap.]

So... you said that your mun has plans for you, right? What games are you looking at? Because I could point you towards the one I'm at now, but only if you promise to behave and not break anything.

The plan was mostly to find others from our world. There may be a plan in the works to gather some of us at
[Busy schedules make multiple games hard to keep up with sometimes.]
Sorry about the delay! Was recovering from illness :'|
To tell the truth, while my game has sunk down to the slow range right now, I'm not sure if it's staying there. See, I've currently set up shop over at
Long story short, if things don't work out over at the other game, come and swing by sometime! I'll even keep a room at the new Guildhouse open for you! Having you around would be a mega-asset to getting the Guild up and running in its new location!
[A beat. That must sound strange from his side, considering they both know what he did to the Guildhouse -- and the rest of Vane, for that matter -- in his bid for power.]

But like I said, you'd have to promise to behave first! No evil stuff!
[Good work, Lemina. That sounds much less desperate.]
It's all good. Getting sick throws a wrench in the works.
Her spiel throws him completely off his guard. Lunar... gone? Destroyed in its entirety...? Even if its just in one game, it's a bit of a hard pill to swallow. Sure, he had meant to destroy the world in a sense himself, but only as far as bringing society down, and reshaping it so that none need suffer for another's gain. But for the world itself to descend into oblivion? It's all a bit much for Ghaleon.
Congrats Lemina, you've stunned him into an obviously distressed silence.]
Nice coloring on the icons, by the way!
[Oh, no. What's with that look? Did she lose him somewhere in there? She thinks back, retracing the long, windng road her chatter took...]
[... well, it'd have to be that, wouldn't it?]
Look, Ghaleon, I know it sounds bad. ... and I know THAT'S the understatement of the year. But it's going to be all right! We're working on a solution as we speak.
See, there are these space-time things called wormholes that keep appearing, and some of them have brought people back home to worlds that were supposedly destroyed. I'm confident we can figure out how they work. And I know it sounds crazy, but I think with enough magic -- and a little bit of the Black Dragon's magic -- we can learn to control them.
... and if that doesn't work... Plan B? We gather everyone up and find a new world to colonize. It's definitely not an ideal solution, but we can't just roll over and die just because Lunar is gone, right?
[She decides against mentioning that it could have been much worse, thanks to the dark god Zophar. Which Ghaleon's mun will understand after playing Eternal Blue.]
Thanks!
Ghaleon pulls himself together again, although he remains noticeably more subdued. Good thing nothing about Zophar was mentioned, hm?]
It's just a bit shocking. All things - even worlds - must pass eventually. But so soon before its time?

Very well. If my Mun decides this is the right game for me, you will have my aid. It is hardly a perfect place, but Lunar is my home too.

Hello Nash. And how have you been faring since my untimely demise?
