On sudden free time and thus inklings of possible plans
So you have found yourself suddenly without a directive to follow and decided, that in this time between now and potentially getting rehired at the end of the month, that I need to get out more. You're the one who wrote me into a cozy prison with the users, not my fault I only see four walls and the face of whoever has watch duty.
You're especially not sending me anywhere where I'll have to deal with programs and users that come from a different system. Especially not while I'm still bound or have no actual capabilities to change the game to my advantage.

Wait, crash it the user was showing that odd leap of logic. Time to lie through his teeth time.]
My memory cache and several core functions were corrupted and fragmented outside of a dekacycle of my actual run time. So the information about the one who wrote me is non accessible. However, he may have, but it does not help explain how I ended up in a system that he should not have access to from what the users have mentioned.
I was hoping you would have an idea of such since you do know him.

{{OOC: Yeah. He's from 6 or 7 months prior to Legacy's events. Just figure the events of 2.0 happened then}}
[Something's still setting off his "something's not right here" radar. Of course, he saw what happened to Mercury when she got restored from backup. He was glad she was alive, but the way she was acting? VERY unsettling.]
Sam gets into shit he's not supposed to all the time. Pop's still scared he'll get himself into a mess he can't get out of. It's why Sam wasn't told about Ma3a or what she can do. Until we've got safeguards, it's too dangerous - and I'm not about to let him walk into something and get himself killed.
[Let's test something.]
What I do have, though, is some ability to heal corruption. It's part of my function when I'm working in here for Ma3a. I might be able to rebuild something of what you lost.

That slightly aggressive stance might look familiar to you there Jet if you had paid attention to the helmet wearing one enough.]
I rather not have my coding tweaked anymore thanks.

I'm not going to do anything except offer. I know there are a lot of taboos about discs and energy exchanges, and what's okay and what's not.
[And a lot of the "interfacing" and "energy exchange" rituals he learned from Mercury, which is more of an explanation than he'd like to give]
I get that I just opened my mouth and shoved my foot in. I shouldn't have said anything.

[Now let's get off this topic fully because he really can not bs that fully in this regard and not slip up.]
You have a lot of faith that Sam_Flynn will not find a way to find trouble on his own.
no subject
As for Sam? He doesn't have to find trouble. Trouble finds him.
no subject
Then precautions won't help then if he finds a remote system that is not in your influence.
[He's trying to warn you man. Lock your Sam up.]
no subject
[His father's determination and his mother's heart. If fighting for the Programs against Users who want to do harm makes him strange, so be it.]
You have a point there. Not sure what I can do about it.
[There's still that nagging feeling.]
What do you know about users?
no subject
Put a tracer on him would be a good start possibly.
...
[Danger, danger. Too many ways to mess this entire conversation up. Take the Clu and Flynn approach and be vague.]
They're not as perfect or powerful as some programs wish them to be.
no subject
[And User of Users, something is REALLY off here. Without thinking, he worries a hangnail.]
That's a start. Again, not so different. I'm...sorry that we haven't been very good to you...and them.
[Another test. Just a light, VERY brief touch on the shoulder. Sam was always clasping a hand on his shoulder, or on his back when they were kids. This isn't going to be as familiar or friendly, more a goodwill gesture.
Just in case, he's mentally prepping the Energy Claw in case he needs to stun and run.]
no subject
What are you doing user? If he was even half as violent as Rinzler you would have lost that hand.]
no subject
And if this compiler is an agent of Clu like he an an agent of Ma3a...]
What did Clu do to you? Did that...did he get into your disk without permission?
[Another...very dark possibility crosses his mind. A Program may not have so many taboos about touch or flinch away in fear, but a human might...]
no subject
[Stupidly giving his disk to the admin with no knowledge of what he was doing is considered permission by some. So he can't really say it was against his will.]
Are you going to request a list of those who have accessed my disk now? Though who has not tampered with it would be easier to create and forward in that regards.
[He's just going to stay over here and his disk as far as possible from you. Grabby users are never a good thing.]
no subject
Not buying the part about you giving him permission. Little wonder you're so glitched up.
[Who do you need dead? Pranskter bits, energy claws, improvised weapons from cycle batons, the viral stuff he swore he'd never use again, sniper rifle, and classic deadly discs. He's angry enough at your tormentors to start hunting.]
And your voice...something's not quite...
[It's almost clicked, and there will be hell to pay when it does.]
no subject
Physically handing over ones disk to an admin and allowing them access is typically the definition of granting permission. My memory fragmentation happened when a user attempted to reset my settings.
[That he knew of that is. He still is not certain at all if the memory loss was due to Clu or the users, just that he was aware of it after the users.]
My vocal patterns is one of the few things that have not been tampered with by someone.
no subject
Exactly. The one thing that will always give a User away if you know what you're listening for; Programs have an electronic distortion to their voice, like an accent. You don't.
Sam, this is fucking important. You don't know me. Maybe not anymore and maybe you never did, but I'm not your enemy in this or any other universe. Whoever did this - it's wrong. Program or User - no one has that kind of permission.
If I get you free, how far can you run? Can you get away from them? Can you get to ZakAttack? Can he keep you safe?
no subject
So that is where the flaw has been in fully completing the deception. Rinzler not speaking seems to have a dual purpose then. He likely would not appreciate my following his lead on this however...Well it is hard to tell what the enforcer actually thinks.
[Seriously, you users emote way too much at times for no reason.]
I don't believe user Roy_Kleinberg would understand your version of safe. He and the other users were the ones who attempted to reset my disk and bound me to make certain I did not follow any of System Administrator Clu's objectives in regards to the users who created such chaos on his system.
no subject
I said 'if' I can get you free. There is always a way. Sometimes it's hard to find.
Clu screwed with your disc, the others are trying to 'fix' it and causing more damage. Either way, you get hurt.
[The anger fades to sadness. Yeah, he emotes a lot, even for a User.]
I'm sorry. I hope you mun can just take you somewhere where you can heal up and defrag your disc...clear your head. Somewhere you can be safe.
no subject
[He just headtilts slowly a bit.]
Safety is an illusion, and I'm still Administrator Clu's pet user. That likely didn't help the enforcer all that much when they lost me to the users.
no subject
[Was Ma3a doing more to protect him than she let on? Wouldn't be surprising. As for Clu's enforcer?]
No I don't imagine it helped at all. Do you think Clu killed him, or...I'd imagine he's in even worse shape than you if he's alive.
no subject
[Because it is the only way he can explain why Clu was able to read and mess with his disk.]
He's too valuable of a resource to be derezzed even over such as this.
no subject
What do you want, besides out of those cuffs?
no subject
[What? He almost sends a retry ping at you because, he really has never thought about that. He's still getting use to free thinking and decision making again okay.
Yeah no, he doesn't really know how to answer that you're getting the ping.]
[try again] I don't think I'm translating that question correctly.

My directives is the creation and sustaining of the grid as outlined by my current Administrator.
[Not that he was fully certain who it was he should be getting his orders from right now.]
Want is a user specific syntax an [error].
