canon is curse workers, maybe going to [community profile] lastvoyages sometime

Good plan. I like it. So, I go there, get some interdimensional therapy, and then everything's fixed, right? Blank slate, a new start. Because that's how it works.

[ He sneers. ] It doesn't matter where I am. [ Except for the part where it definitely does. ] It's just not going to happen. There's a catch, and I don't play rigged games when there's nothing on the line for me.

Hey, who said that there's nothing on the line?

You make it sound like the interdimensional therapy bit is easy, Comrade...
buywithme: (facepalm)

[personal profile] buywithme 2012-12-29 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
It doesn't tend to be the therapy part that makes people cry. Aren't you supposed to be the good brother, Comrade?

[That's what Barron's file says about you...]

I don't think you can really justifiably be blamed for murders which you committed under the influence of... well, of Barron.

If you don't, then I don't see why you think you'll be coming to the Barge as an inmate?

I thought if you ever showed up, it would be to make a deal.

[Prefect just doesn't know you very well, Cassel.]
sharpememory: (Hmm)

[personal profile] sharpememory 2012-12-29 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
You're not seeing the big picture. Sure, the inmate deal? Not worth giving the time of day. But being a warden, you can get just about anything that you could imagine as part of your deal. You can't tell me that you wouldn't want that. [Ooop, and he's ignoring the question about his well being.]

He doesn't talk about his family that much at all. I think it's because he knows thinking about forgetting you all will give me ammunition to convince him to use his power less.

Pretty great, actually. My warden career is going pretty well. You should get in on this.

Yeah, you're hilarious. [Oh ho, worker/glove jokes.] You seen mom lately?

[Cue guilt trip.]
buywithme: (Bruised prefect)

[personal profile] buywithme 2012-12-29 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
He is going to do it, Comrade. He's already a lot better than he was when he first arrived. Although I'll give it to you that it probably would have been easier if there was someone in his immediate family who didn't think that his memories were completely expendable and not worth the effort of trying to save.
sharpememory: (Talking)

[personal profile] sharpememory 2012-12-29 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
I don't doubt that. You've at least been keeping an eye on her?

[personal profile] sharpememory 2012-12-29 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
Gee, sounds like someone's getting defensive. Won't see your own brother on a barge in space, won't even keep an eye on your own mother at home. Seen Lila lately?
buywithme: (Look away)

I think you'd already heard most of it, Comrade. He is going to graduate, Brother. If you don't think that people can change, then--

[A pause, like he realises what he just said.]

...Well, Comrade, you of all people should know better.
