It's true. Though some people will tell you that it reminds us to make every moment meaningful. Life for many of us is both violent and brief [James] But a good lot of us do what we can anyway. And really how dull would it be if we stopped? Ignoring the lives of the many of us situated in the States of course.

Well it certainly sounds noble when phrased in that manner. Have you considered it's violent because people are being led in the wrong fashion?

Not at all. I don't believe any sort of subjugation will curb the appetites of those seeking to harm. They will always find a way. That's the double edged sword of individuality isn't it.

Individuality is practically nonexistent in this world. Everyone believing that going on different paths will lead to prosperity does nothing but divide and they are lost. Direction is needed.

You'll forgive me for taking this with a grain of salt. I'm having trouble believe you've seen much of the World. [Hard to see from a pedestal that high]

It's quite easy to observe from afar, it gives much more perspective than being on it. After all, there is nothing but your surroundings and the accounts of others, however skewed it may come across as.

This is somewhat true. After all, in the field all you have is the moment and if you hesitate then you are dead and that's it. However being far off does not necessarily create clarity of perspective either. Distance means that one has less opportunity to consider the position of the people they are looking down upon. [There are no worse presumptions made than those of the habits of the poor by the well housed, well warmed, and well fed]
