So then your ears aren't twitching irritably? [ She reaches up - what is personal space - and takes hold of his ears. ] They're still really soft.

[While the frown doesn't fade, his face does flush slightly at the contact, and his foot taps quickly against the ground. He doesn't draw away, though. Only Kagome can touch his ears without him flipping out.]

What, you thought they wouldn't be?

[dogwife]

[ Kagome smiles, scratching a little behind one of the ears. ] No. I just really like your ears.

Hmph. Whatever.

[He sounds dismissive, but the action feels nice and he enjoys being with her. There aren't many opportunities for that anymore.]

So... your mun'll find you someplace safe, right?

[dogwife]

[ She stops scratchings, and steps forward - there is no personal space - and puts her arms around him. ]

Hopefully. But if it's anywhere dangerous, I think I'll be able to take care of myself.

[Even now, the feel of someone hugging him causes Inuyasha to hesitate, but it's only for a brief moment before one of his own arms wraps around her waist.]

If she's as understanding as you think she is, then just tell her to put ya someplace without any danger.

I don't think that's possible, but she can send me somewhere calm enough that I'm not chasing demons every day.

Trust me, there're things a lot worse than demons at some of 'em...

[He's been in two already, and just the thought of her going to either of them is enough to make his gut clench horribly.]

At least I won't have to go to any of those H games.

[And then his mun explains, and instantly his face goes bright red.]

[ She looks up at his red face...then points an index finger and giggles. ]

Wh-what?! Quit laughin'!

[dogwife]

[ She's still giggling, because it's so cute how he makes this tough guy image and yet certain delicate subjects can suddenly make him Mr. Sensitive. ]

[Seeing as she won't stop, Inuyasha does the only mature thing.

Draw back, turn around, sit his ass down on the ground, and sulk away.]

[dogwife]

[ She sighs, shakes her head, then crouches down, tilts to the side so that she's looking over Inuyasha's shoulder, and smiles warmly. ]

Inuyasha, I'm only teasing you.

[twotimingmutt]

[He turns his head away, giving an irritated grunt. Even now that Kagome is with him, sex is still some foreign and embarrassing concept.]

[dogwife]

I'm not making fun of you. I just think it's nice that you aren't obsessed like Miroku. [ She leans back over, and puts her lips gently to his cheek. ]

[twotimingmutt]

Keh! No way in hell I'm gonna be anything like that lecher.

[The small kiss doesn't do anything to help his flush, but his face does soften just a bit.]

[dogwife]

I'm sure you're right about that. [ Yes! There's the mark! She smiles innocently and moves a bit before climbing into Inuyasha's lap and starting to make herself comfortable. ]

[Welp, that little moody phase didn't last long. His arm slips around her waist again to hold her there. And then he remembers what he was worrying about before his thoughts turned to sex.]

I don't want anything bad to happen to you...

[dogwife]

And nothing bad will happen to me. I didn't just learn my miko skills on our travels, Inuyasha. I also learned how to handle, fight, and capture errant demons. You helped teach me, after all.

Yeah, I know that, but... Look, these game things, they can seem normal at first, but shit happens in 'em. I've still seen people die, and...

[His arm tightens around her. He doesn't want her going through that.]

I can always get help. I won't be alone anywhere I go. Who knows. Maybe you will end up coming to my game.
