Finally saw it.

Well!

I'm glad it gave you feels, but I'm sorry I have to put my foot down. Out of all your "muses" and all your "puppets" I will be the one to say it. I'm just...it's funny, but I want all of the facts right.

[Deep breath] It does not give you feelings. Or ...feels. What is a feel anyway? It sounds dirty. Feelings are not a physical... gift. It inspired you. It should! It's a good story.

And...well I suppose it's a big enough story to take on a life of it's own but I wouldn't really know anything about that. It's a fine tale and I'm glad it inspired you more then anything.

A lot in common? Well I suppose we do. A good spirit, firm, willing but not too willing for adventure. I'll move my things in and we can wait for the dragon together shall we? Excellent.

It would seem that our esteemed colleague, Mister Bilbo Baggins, our burglar and treasure-hunter extraordinaire still lacks the vigor necessary to enjoy a proper adventure.

[ A soft rumble of a chuckle could be heard from Thorin, but the dwarven prince tries his best to conceal it. ]

Alas! I had hoped that you would've become more fond of life upon the open road than this. Although, one must realize that hobbits are quite simple-minded beings. People who enjoy good food and pleasure more so than arduous hard work. Yet despite your most grievous of flaws, I still extend my welcome to you and now I extend this welcome to your scribe as well.

[ And with that, Thorin bows mockingly but graciously towards the hobbit with some mirth in his gaze. ]

Now with that said, mind explaining to me as of where the rest of our company has gone?

[ Quite humored with himself, Thorin decides to ease some of his sarcasm and welcome his companion justly and with less prose. ]

Indeed, I do realize that us Dwarves share quite a few qualities with that of hobbits. Especially when it comes to tradition.

[ He nearly returns the smile. ]

Oh? That alone is a rather distressing thought since I certainly value your life more so than any beast. Fear not, the dragon shall be slain soon enough.

Cute?

[ Thorin's eyes narrows. ]

She thinks that a fearsome dragon such as Smaug is--I dare say--cute?

[ He arches his brow in disbelief. ]

[ Thorin all but snatches the drawing from Bilbo's hand, giving it a quick look over as he stares at it in dismay. ]

I see nothing cute about the foul beast that ravaged my home and killed my people.

[ He pauses briefly. ]

However, are you truly certain this is indeed Smaug? The dragon possessed scales as red as fire, and eyes as bright as amber.

[ Glancing at the picture once more in disdain, Thorin offers it back to the hobbit. ]

'Tis nothing like the beast that killed my kin and stolen our home.

In case you are wondering his canon is good omens. ^^'

[He looks the hobbit over a moment; not human obviously. He's read many stories in his time on earth and Aziraphale has an idea of what Bilbo was but the question was which hobbit was it from the series.]

Most stories are rather inspiring considering it takes a mind and places it in an adventure using only one's imagination. Also there are rather memorable characters within stories, ones that teach lessons and others that even when not human can have a lot in common with one.

But I suppose my question is what story did your mun see?

Oh, The Hobbit! What a lovely story; very good book, couldn't set it down for a moment.

[He had such respect for classics, well...he had respect for any book really considering he had all books of shapes and sizes in his shop. He smiled excitedly.]

And you must be Bilbo himself am I correct? Ohh it's such a pleasure to meet you Mr.Baggins.

Oh yes, it does have a fine ring to it I must say. There must have been a reason they changed the name.It is a very lovely story though I must admit, the adventures were wonderful, I was at the edge of my seat in some parts.

[He smiled.]

I am Aziraphale Fell, it's really, truely is an honor to meet you. The Hobbit was one of my more treasured stories in my collection.

Oh, there is nothing you need to offer me, your company is good enough dear.

[He smiled pleasantly.]

Would you like some tea or maybe red wine?

[After all he knew Bilbo had had a long journey and them relaxing for once might do the hobbit some good. That and the angel wanted to know more, after all this was the real Bilbo Baggins. Meeting characters from stories had never happened before and Aziraphale was curious.]

Oh, don't worry dear you aren't imposing at all.

[He smiled and looked around, he assumed no one from heaven would know if he used his powers at the moment. He only moved his hand slightly and a picnic basket appeared beside him. He grabbed it gently and picked it up, taking the red wine and cups for them to use.]

Master Baggins. Are you comtemplating our journey once more? [He smiled.] I have faith in you, Mister Baggins. Enough to secure the bond between dwarf and hobbit through these dark times.

[personal profile] sonof_thrain 2012-12-22 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Good. I am pleased and relieved to hear that she is focused on the journey also. How do you feel about our journey, Master Bilbo?

[personal profile] sonof_thrain 2012-12-24 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
The eagles? I do not know.

Perhaps Gandalf saw another path for us to follow. Also, the eagles may be killed in our journey into dangerous territory. The journey must be taken on foot in certain places.

Walking will do you good, Master Baggins. Keep those short legs of yours strong. [He teased.]

[ Bombur calmly finishes his big chunk of cheese and pats Bilbo on the shoulder; it's alright. ]

[ He's quiet for a while before looking a bit sad. Disappointed. ] These Mun types don't have any food on 'em.

[ Bombur just shrugs and searches his pocket for some leftovers. Maybe a piece of candy or half a biscuit, which he then stuffs in his gob. ]

Mmmf. 'm still hungry. [ Not a very happy Bombur! ]
