This looks like fun! All of us going out into the unknown on an adventure. It'll be great! We'll be able to fight all sorts of things besides orcs and goblins. Maybe even a dragon? Oh, sure we're not going to be able to kill Smaug (or so they say) but there have to be other dragons out there!

There is all of us, right?

Or at least Fili... Fili's coming, right? I don't think mother would like it very much if I went off without him. She barely let me come as it is with Thorin.

Actually, I'm starting to notice a distinct lack of dwarves here.





You should probably fix that.

Not in front of the scribe please, Kili. Just Thorin will suffice. [He managed a small smile.]

[Thorin then smiled and slapped his nephew on the back.]

[Kili brightens up at that. He was worried for a moment!]

I would hope so. I wouldn't think you'd care about anything a scribe thought or wanted to do.

I care not what any scribe wants but of our journey. Restoring order to Eribor and gaining back what is rightly ours is what I care about. [He patted Kili's back.]

How have you been fairing?

[she likes this dwarf. Arwen just wishes she had been there to meet all of them! at least they got to meet Ada.]

At the time of your visit to my home, I was with my kin in Lothlorien.

I did meet your father. He was very kind to let us stay.

[What. You couldn't randomly teleport over and back?]

It's a shame you weren't there, I'm sure it would have been interesting disastrous nice to have meet you then as that would have been the only time I could have met you.

And you, Master Kili. I hope you were pleased with the hospitality of Rivendell. [ sorry about all the lettuce. oh you met grandma. grandma is kind of strong like that. but arwen does the glowy thing too!]

I wouldn't be so certain. Our paths may yet cross in the future. As with your encounter with Smaug, so many things are yet uncertain.

It was much better than some of the hospitality we've gotten on our journey.

[Trolls trying to eat them... orcs trying to kill them... you know. As for lettuce the mun still is confused as to why they were okay with it at Bilbo's but not at Rivendell's. Ah well. Maybe they didn't want to eat elven food.]

We're going to kill the dragon. That much is certain. The signs say so.

There is sadly a good deal of a dwarf presence missing. It's a bit sad!

Have heart, young dwarf! For I'm sure there are yet more dwarves to come and I believe that Thorin Oakenshield may yet join those of us in the Tower of Animus.

[To his own mun:] Though I fear that place may not be a wise place for either to be sent, Lady Scribe.

I certainly hope so. I couldn't leave my brother behind. He would never forgive me.

Where -or what- is the Tower of Animus, if I may be so bold as to ask.

I've no doubt of it but he may follow you wherever you go, just a bit later.

Not a place that one would find pleasant. We are brought there under the claim that our world has been destroyed, along with everyone we've ever known, and that we've been rescued. Death has no hold here for those who die awaken the next morning, completely unharmed. And terrible cruelties are done to us depending on who takes charge each month.

[He sighs.]

It is no place for any more of Middle Earth's inhabitants.

For their own twisted pleasure. I've been there for ninth months now and have died twice.

[He may not particularly care for elves, but this is still a nasty thing to have happen to anyone.]

I am quite sorry to hear that, master elf. I think I am lucky in that my scribe would rather send me to a magical bar...
