On one hand, he's relieved. Telling Selina his identity (at Dick's prompting, no less) was always one of those things that he wished he could undo. Not because he regretted it, strictly speaking, but because of the danger it put her in.

(She can take care of herself. Hasn't she proved it, time and again? But Bruce will never forfeit the responsibility he feels over the lives of those around him. He thinks of pearls and gunshots, and a slight frown creases his brow)

I'm reasonably certain I've never been intoxicated enough to miss several years. Believe me, I've tried.

[He's been drunk twice in his life. Once was after Jason. The other certainly wasn't after Bane.]

After that whole incident, I was vacationing in the Alps, if I'm not mistaken. The Swedish swim team was there, one thing lead to another--

That's odd, I seem to recall seeing a lot of you after that incident. And we were somewhere a lot warmer than the Alps. Italy, maybe. So many women, though, it may be hard to keep track of them all.

He's known it from the start, but there's something about her voice, her face that confirms it in that instant, beyond even the words she says. It's an alternate or divergent timeline. He's seen enough of them to know. Sometimes it's offset by something as small as a single event.

And in some universes, the Justice League is evil. He's learned to hedge his bets. Even so, his expression doesn't waver in the slightest. Three months after Bane. The two of them in Italy, of all places?

Bruce has had his dalliances with Selina as his alter-ego, but he never would have asked and she never would have consented to spending that sort of time together in a foreign country. He didn't like being away from Gotham longer than absolutely necessary and she-- would have spent it all getting into places she didn't belong on little cat feet.

He restructures the conversation. Plays it over again in his head, both with the assumption that Selina knows his identity and otherwise overlaid.

After Bane.

There's no way she doesn't know. No way he would have allowed her that close unless the situation demanded it.]

Only that they're theories. Not proven to exist. Universes like our own, same people, same faces, same names, similar events, completely different outcomes.
